Established in 1986, we are a home-grown, family-owned company renowned for our design expertise. We are proud to be a UK manufacturer and delighted to be celebrating over 30 years of business within the bathroom industry.

Over the last three decades we have seen so many bathroom trends come and go, but one thing that has remained unchanged is our dedication to our customers. We have successfully built a network of selected retailers, working closely together to develop strong partnerships providing customers with the ultimate in bathroom design.

Aqata have many years of experience supplying into niche markets including luxury house builders and developers, exclusive hotels and leisure complexes. Our products are exported all over the world. The marine industry is a key area where we specialise in delivering bespoke products individually designed for the most challenging of spaces including some of the world’s most prestigious super yachts.

Enriched by a passion for product innovation, we are excited to launch our new Design Solutions, 10mm frameless range, ensuring we continue to build on the success we have achieved so far.

The Spectra range of contemporary frameless shower enclosures and shower screens includes straight and curved glass, hinged panels, spacious walk ins, bi-fold, sliding and hinged doors.

Spectra has built in wall adjustment for out of true walls, and is created from the finest materials. The 8mm thick toughened glass has polished edges, whilst the hinges, brackets and substantial handles have a beautiful polished chrome finish. All Spectra sliding doors have a smooth gliding action, with central clear seals and discreet magnetic closing. All Spectra bi-fold, quintet and sliding doors are designed to cope with power showers. The type of steady bars may vary depending on your enclosure dimensions and may differ from the images illustrated in this brochure.

The Spectra range is suitable for tray or wetroom applications and Made 2 Measure options are also available.

The Spectra SP300 Sliding Door Recess Option is made from 8mm toughened glass, at 2000mm in height it creates the perfect recess enclosure for any home. The single sliding door glides smoothly and effortlessly, and closes securely onto discreet magnetic door seals. The stainless steel and polished chrome finish profiles with wall adjustment and concealed fixings with central seals keep shower spray at bay. SP300

Survey, Template and InstallationAqata have a team of experienced installation engineers available to carry out the initial site survey through to full installation of your unique shower enclosure, giving you complete peace of mind.

The three options of our Made 2 Measure service:

Option 1 – Made 2 MeasureWorking from your provided measurements to produce a made to measure enclosure. Please refer to our Made 2 Measure price guide on page 111.(NB: A hard wood template required for angles - please contact our technical support team for advice on producing a template).

Option 2 – Survey and TemplateAn Aqata engineer will measure and template a Made 2 Measure enclosure ready for installation.

Option 3 – Survey, Template and InstallationAn Aqata engineer will provide the complete service by measuring and templating. Once the enclosure has been manufactured, we will carry out the installation. Installation is only available if Aqata have completed the site survey.

For options 2 and 3 please refer to the price guide on page 112.

Following a site survey or submission of a template, it may become apparent that the proposed design is not suitable for manufacture. Wherever possible an alternative design will be proposed, however should no alternative be available the site survey charge will still be applied.

Aqata’s In-House glass etching service offers a wide range of standard designs. We also specialise in creating unique etchings for clients who require their own logos or company branding, or for individuals who want their own personal design.

For a contemporary look modesty panels and all over etching can customise your enclosure. Classic period designs are available as pattern etched or background etched, with a choice of Complete, Centre or Border only designs. All designs are etched onto the outside of clear glass unless otherwise stated. Due to their size some designs are not suitable for all enclosures and etching onto curved glass is limited. Aqata shower trays are manufactured to the highest standard using a special process that produces a very rigid super strong acrylic capped tray, which is extremely durable and warm to the touch with a superlative smooth surface. Aqata shower trays are all quality guaranteed and come complete with a 90mm hi-flow waste as standard.

Aqata have an extensive selection of standard shaped shower trays plus a wide range of dedicated trays. If used in conjunction with a steam generator, the steam outlet must be positioned a minimum of 300mm above the shower tray.

Dedicated traysAqata’s dedicated trays have been specifically designed to integrate perfectly with Aqata’s unique shaped enclosures. Dedicated tray prices and technical specifications are on the corresponding shower enclosure pages.

Standard Shower TraysAqata’s standard low level anti bacterial shower trays complement the extensive range of enclosures. The 35mm low level shower trays have an optional 100mm high removable panel and adjustable legs which allows flexibility with a choice of installation, low level, flush or raised above the floor. Hi-Flow WasteAqata’s shower trays incorporate an integrated hi-flow waste system which has an easy access removable trap and polished chrome finish waste as standard. Polished gold finish waste is also available at an additional charge. The built in fall in every shower tray despatches water efficiently towards the waste which is tested to European Standard EN329 to an achieved flow rate of 24 litres per minute.

The governments Water Regulations Advisory Scheme recommend the use of thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) and our showers meet those standards, with pre-set temperatures maintained even if the water pressure drops. Our showers provide full thermal protection allowing hot water to be blended to a safe temperature and will shut down automatically within 1.5 seconds if the hot or cold water supplies fail.

Linneal Shower Technical AdviceAqata has chosen to work in conjunction with the industry experts to produce a superb thermostatic shower valve with patented design that is manufactured to exacting standards.

The unique cartridge design enters a new generation of thermostatic valve technology and is WRAS approved to TMV2/TMV3 recommended standards for anti scalding protection. Factored at 38°C to 44°C for safe showering temperatures our thermostatically controlled shower valves have no need for the red button system.

ClearShield ECO-GLASS™Glass Protection

ClearShield ECO-GLASS™ is supplied as standard on all Aqata enclosures, doors and screens. This unique product is applied to the inside of the glass and works just like ’non-stick’ cookware, acting as a protective barrier on the surface of the glass.

Unprotected glass can quickly and easily suffer permanent bonding of limescale / mineral salts onto its surface causing staining and physical damage. Water spots become very difficult, if not impossible to remove despite regular cleaning. As a result, the appearance and hygienic environment of the shower are spoiled.

Water softeners can diminish the effectiveness of ClearShield. Cheaper brands of water softeners do not remove salt. Glass should be squeegeed down and dried with a soft micro cloth after every use.

The surface of award winning ClearShield ECO-GLASS™ is chemically non-reactive and ‘non-stick’. The ClearShield protection bonds to the glass and as a multi stranded polymeric resin, it is stronger and more durable than silicon based easy clean systems. Limescale and other dirt will build up only half as fast, and will not bond to the glass. Cleaning is now a very simple task.

Harsh and abrasive cleaning materials can be harmful to you and to the environment. Specialist After-Care for shower glass has been developed to gain the maximum performance from ClearShield ECO-GLASS™.

It is a very effective cleaner and disinfectant with a special ClearShield enhancer and can be used on the glass, framework and shower tray.

Using this unique after care product in a simple and regular manner, enhances the benefits of having ClearShield ECO-GLASS™ on your shower enclosure to maximise the performance for up to 10 years.

Care programme

Aqata strongly recommend that the glass and the framework are wiped down after every use with a squeegee and dried with a soft cloth.

Care and maintenance

Shower trays

Clean after every use with warm soapy water or mild detergent and wipe dry with a soft cloth, never use gritty or abrasive cleaner. Easy access waste trap should be removed and cleaned weekly, ensuring any debris is cleared.

Top tips

• Squeegee and remove any water on the glass, frame and fittings after each use

• Do not allow limescale to build up on the enclosure• Use the ClearShield After-Care cleaner once a week to

polish the glass and framework• Do not leave neat cleaning products on the surfaces• Do not use any “spray on and leave” cleaning

products

• Ensure any cleaning products are non-abrasive and between pH 4 & 8

• Do not allow paint stripper, nail varnish remover, spirits, dry cleaning agents, w.c cleaners or bleach to come in direct contact with surfaces

Water Softeners

If you have a single cylinder water softener installed and are in a hard water area, there may be a reaction from the water on the glass.

Softened water is generally higher in alkalinity and is therefore harmful. If you have a hot water storage tank installed, then conditions are even more aggressive than unsoftened water. It is recommended that after removing excess water with a squeegee, a microfibre E-cloth® should be used to remove any remaining water from the glass and frame.

WARNING: abrasive cleaning methods, pads and compounds or highly alkaline cleaners should not be used on ClearShield Eco-Glass™.

*The durability of ClearShield Eco-Glass™may be affected by the frequency of use of the shower, hardness of the water and the type of cleaning compounds and methods used, all of which are beyond the control of the manufacturer.

Product InformationWater tightness is a key consideration when choosing your shower enclosure. Aqata products are approved for use with power showers, under normal showering conditions. Forcing water under pressure at seals and joints can cause water to escape.

Please consider the position of your showerhead when designing your bathroom - ideally this should not be aimed directly at screens, panels and doors. (Positioning of showerheads on images in this brochure are for illustrative purposes only).

Dependent upon the power of the shower and the position of the showerhead, water spray may extend beyond the length of shower screens, walk in enclosures and bath screens.

Install your enclosure in a well-ventilated area as steam and condensing vapour can result in mineral deposits/build up, as well as ensuring a suitable waterproof and sealed floor finish is used outside the showering area.
