Seeley’s BayFor over 175 years Seeley’s Bay has been a popular stop for boaters cruising the Rideau waterway between Kingston and Ottawa. The boats may have changed but the welcom-ing shores and docks of Seeley’s Bay still beckon the same.
The rolling hills and pastoral landscapes that surround See-ley’s Bay contrast with the Canadian Sheild outcroppings of granite and the tall pine trees of the Rideau waterway.
Two provincial parks and a National Park are located within an hour’s drive. Yet the region is less than an hour away from the bustle of downtown Kingston and an hour and half from the urban centre of Ottawa. Seeley’s Bay is an accessi-ble and welcome stop along Highway 15 north of Kingston.

LyndhurstCarved out of the Canadian Shield wilderness, Lyndhurst was first called Furnace Falls. Utilizing the natural iron ore deposits, the first iron foundry in Upper Canada was located just outside of Lyndhurst in 1801.
This is an area best experienced by foot, by strolling the vil-lage side streets, walking a nature trail, visiting a village shop or enjoying a picnic on the banks of a slow flowing river in the shadow of its stone span single-lane bridge and heritage buildings.
Lyndhurst is centrally located in the Leeds County, a few minutes north of Charleston Lake Provincial Park, less than an hour Northeast of Kingston. Northwest of Brockville and Southwest of Ottawa. The 401 is 20 minutes to the South and the International Bridge at Ivy Lea, in the heart of the 1000 Islands, is only a half hour’s drive away.
