Dear Parents and Carers, This time last week we were in the joyous busyness of celebrating 150 years of Catholic Education, at this time now we are all enjoying the glow of the celebrations and probably all somewhat in the event fatigue mode. The accolades from the participants are still coming our way. Thank you to the parent who provided pizza lunch for the staff on Monday! Thank you to the parent who sent a beautiful bouquet with words of thanks! Thank you to the many people who have sent verbal and email messages of commendation to the staff and organising committee for a job well done. We are now in the Thanking phase and will have a special assembly soon where the children can thank those who gave special time and service to us throughout the event. We are also in the photo collection phase and planning what to do with all the great shots that have been taken! I would like to thank the members of the organising committee, over the last 18 months, for meeting, planning and connecting the dots to fine tune each aspect of the celebrations. The committee members were: Emma Grant, Mary-Ann Fraser, Caz Perryman, Fr Luke Verrell, Tanya Tomlinson, Anya Alcock, Katrina Johnson, Nicky Bateman, Marea Russell, Michell Scott and Meg Doherty. Mary Kite was part of the group at the outset and worked with the staff team on the set up of the museum. Thank you team! Here are a couple of photos from the event. Our annual Easter Raffle’s success relies on the generous donations of

prizes we will have to offer.

Raffle tickets were sent home yesterday. $1 per ticket.

You don’t have to sell all the tickets.

Please fill out each ticket with the person’s name and your child’s class.

Please return the tickets, sold or unsold, and money to the school office by Friday 5th April

Raffle will be drawn on Tuesday 9th April

NAPLAN assesses literacy and numeracy – important skills that each child needs to succeed in

school and life. The NAPLAN tests are designed to help us make sure students are on track with their

literacy and numeracy development. Students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 participate in NAPLAN tests for

reading, writing, conventions of language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy.

Between 14-24 April our school will participate in NAPLAN Online. Students do not need to be

computer experts to take the NAPLAN test online. Making sure students have computer skills is part

of our school curriculum, and our teachers will ensure your child is familiar with the online format. To

see the types of questions and interactive features of NAPLAN Online, visit the public demonstration

site.

If you have any questions about NAPLAN Online, please contact your child’s teacher.
