    Students are expected to actively attend all classes. Homework is required to be completed by dates specified by the instructor. Homework requires access to the Internet and the use of a computer or tablet or mobile device. Mid-term and Final examinations are listening-based tests with a focus on grammar, vocabulary, and dictation. Only students with a minimum level of attendance may qualify to take both Mid-term and Final examinations. First class attendance a prerequisite for understanding.

    Course focus is to develop confidence and competence in English communication at a basic/beginner level. Listening activities and conversation pair / group work will help students to build and improve English communication skill. One-to-one instructor to student assistance will be given whenever possible.
