    1.0 INTRODUCTION 1.1 Project Description

    The Bien Dong 1 Project involves offshore development of the Hai Thach and Moc Tinh gas/condensate Fields in Blocks 05.2 and 05.3 approximately 340km south of the coast of Vietnam. The fields lie approximately 20km apart.

    The project includes: A Wellhead platform in Moc Tinh (WHP-MT1) A Wellhead platform in Hai Thach (WHP-HT1) A Production and Quarter Platform in Hai Thach (PQP-HT) A Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessel in Hai Thach An in-field pipeline from the WHP-MT1 to WHP-HT1

    Condensate export lines from the PQP HT to the FSO

    A fuel gas line from the PQP HT to the FSO

    A gas export pipeline from the PQP HT to link up to the existing Nam Con Son pipeline.

    Submarine Cable from the PQP HT to the WHP-MT1.

    The FSO design will be conducted under a separate contract.

    2.0 SCOPE 2.1 General

    The preliminary heat load estimation of the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems for Bien Dong; Moc Tinh Wellhead Platform (WHP MT-1) is documented in this report. The HVAC systems were simulated using Carrier E20-II Rev.4.30 software of which heat load analysis is based on the AHSRAE transfer function method. The cooling capacity generated by this software provided the coincident peak load calculated on an hourly basis over a period of 12 month.

    The areas covered in the analysis include:
