Macarons first appearance dates back to the Middle Ages in Europe; originally they

were small soft cookies made of almonds, sugar and egg whites.

During the Renaissance these sweets were introduced in France by Catherine de

Medici upon marrying the Duke of Orleans, the future King of France.

Since then the basic recipe has inspired several regional specialties and in 1830 the

Parisian pastry chefs had the brilliant idea to serve the macarons two-by-two with a

ganache filling, in a large selection of flavours and colours.

HISTORY

The “Macarons Mon Amour” collection includes a large selection of beautiful

preservable at room temperature.
