Education of the young will impact on the health of the community

MACF Member Mike Withford presents on “capacity building” in the medical sector. One of his discussion points was common preventable injuries, including those sustained on bullock carts, the cause of substantial injuries through collapses.

MACF Member A/Professor Bruce Conolly delivers hand surgery and rehabilitation lectures at Medical Conferences in Magway and Yangon to doctors and nurses at all levels in the clinics of the various hospitals. MACF Members assisted with surgical procedures. Donation of essential equipment including internal fixation fracture systems, micro surgical instruments and essential text books on techniques was made, thanks in great part to Medartis and AusAiD’s Direct Aid Program.
