Machine Operators

11.17 Electronic Technician-Senior Performs highly technical duties to test, troubleshoot and repair complex and sophisticatedelectronic sub-assemblies, modules and systems. Provide technical expertise to production or field personnel to assist in resolving technical problems. May be involved with the adaptation or design of complex test equipment and development of related procedures and documentation. Normally requires an Associates Degree in Electronics plus 3 to 5 years experience.

11.18 Extruder Operator-Plastics Set up and run a rubber extruder with proper tooling to yield extruded output with properdimensions. This includes adjustment of the extruder dies, and cooling water to maintaincorrect temperatures. Operator must also know feeding techniques, as well as control and coiling of machine output. Prepare rubber compound for input to extruder using a warm-up mill. Load and unload postcure ovens with extruded output. Have knowledge of setting proper cures. Inspect extruded product on line and prior to shipment to customer.

21.02 Carpenter, Maintenance Performs carpentry duties necessary to construct and maintain in good repair all wooden parts ofbuildings and equipment. Using a variety of hand and power tools, does the more difficult maintenance jobs such as remodeling, installations, erection of wooden structures and repair of office furniture. Includes planning and layout of work from blueprints, drawings; making standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work; and selection of materials.

21.03 Degreaser Operator Operates degreasing tank to remove oil, grease and other surface foreign matter from sheetmetal parts, machined parts, castings, assemblies, etc., following prescribed routine. Distill and clean tank periodically. Repetitive work.

21.04 Electrician, Maintenance Includes journeyman electricians, ordinarily licensed or eligible for license. Requires planningand installation of new wiring, fixtures, and other equipment; building, repairing and/or rebuilding complex electrical machinery and equipment; or supervision of subordinate electricians.

21.05 HVAC Mechanic Performs a variety of duties directly related to the maintenance of heating ventilation, airconditioning equipment and systems in company buildings. Maintenance activities may include one or more of the following: minor cleaning, and adjustments, preventative maintenance, equipment inspection, problem diagnosis, trouble-shooting, repairs/parts replacement. Able to read and work from detailed and technical diagrams or drawings. Performs additional duties as requested.

21.06 Helper, Trades Performs duties such as locating tools and materials, positions work and performs other simpleand routine operations. Generally works under direction of a tradesman such as carpenter, electrician, machine repairman, etc.

21.07 Instruments Repair Technician Repairs, modifies, calibrates, adjusts and trouble shoots, mechanically and electrically, a widevariety of modern and obsolete highest accuracy general instruments. Determines extent of repairs and estimates costs. Selects and adapts test equipment and setup and calibrating procedures as required. Arranges own work to make most economical use of time considering availability of parts worked on by other groups. Requires a thorough knowledge of the work and the ability to solve any job problems with assistance only on rare occasions. Refers to supervision those costs which exceed limit specified on work order. Occasionally makes and records series of test readings and computes average accuracies as necessary to certify instrument accuracies within specified limits.

21.08 Machine Cleaner Performs machine cleaning to maintain a high level standard to prevent bacterial growth on or inproduction equipment. Inspects, repairs, replaces, reassemble and test equipment to ensure the item is functioning correctly and ready for use.

21.13 Tool Crib Attendant General responsibility for small tool crib. Issue tools, dies, jigs and fixtures upon request, oraccording to instruction, drawings, operation sheets, tool list. Check for obvious damage, necessity of repairs or sharpening. Make record of withdrawals and receipts through card or check system. Materials/Distribution

22.01 Material Handler Performs duties of some variety in unloading, moving and storing a variety of materials, parts orproducts. Check incoming materials for proper identification, reports shortages or damaged items. Moves materials between departments and make deliveries to stock room or shipping room following routing, delivery tickets, orders. May operate power fork trucks in moving, stacking, loaded pallets in designated storage areas. May operate walking crane or hoist in unloading incoming materials and storing in racks. (Also see warehouse person) Can also be used in productions.

22.02 Shipper/Receiver Count, weigh and check incoming material and supplies. Make out receiving reports, reportshortages and damaged material. Assemble orders for shipment, count, weigh and check against shipping order and report shortages. Label or stencil shipping containers. Select routing and carrier when not specified by customer. Arrange for pick-up by carrier.

22.03 Stock Clerk Receives, stores and issues equipment, material, merchandise or tools in a stockroom orstoreroom. Check incoming order against items as listed on requisitions or invoices; counts, grades or weighs articles. Periodically takes inventory and keeps records.

22.04 Stock Selector Works from requisitions, orders, stock lists. Select a wide variety of materials and supplies, accumulate orders, deliver to distribution center or departments. Report shortages, assist in putting stock away, selecting bin or shortage locations, taking inventory.

22.06 Trucker, Power Driven Operates electric or gasoline driven industrial trucks with or without elevating platforms and

23.01 Auto/Truck Mechanic Repair gasoline or diesel-powered automobiles and trucks. Performs such duties asdisassembling and overhauling engines, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, and other assemblies, replacing worn or broken parts, grinding valves, adjusting brakes, tighten body bolts, aligning wheels, etc. Lubricates vehicles and performs other duties in connection with maintenance and operation of motor vehicles, as required. Does not include finished body and fender work, re-upholstery and painting.

23.02 Building Maintenance Worker Paints. Does general carpentry repairs, simple plumbing and electrical repairs. Movesfurniture. Maintains paper products in restrooms; clean-up of grounds. All under supervision of Maintenance Supervisor. No technical training necessary but general knowledge of carpentry, basic plumbing and electricity are helpful.

23.03 Driver, Heavy Equipment Operates one or more of several types of heavy, power, or construction equipment, such ashoists, tractors, backhoes, shovels, loaders, graders, bulldozers, etc. to erect structures, move/grade earth, pour materials, or transport materials over short distances. May repair and maintain equipment.

23.04 Guard Responsible for plant and property protection. Required to have knowledge of company policyreferring to same. May be armed. Usually stationed at plant entrance or exit.

23.05 Inspector, Class A/Quality Final inspection for quality, appearance and performance of very complicated and diversifiedTechnician and/or expensive equipment. Plan inspection procedures and develop inspection devices.

Outlines steps required for program development, including diagrams and charts. Writes program documentation and user operations guidelines. Provides technical guidance to lower-level analyst-programmers. Requires advanced knowledge of programming techniques, operating systems, and platform capabilities. Typically requires detailed and comprehensive knowledge of employer's applications and hardware platforms. Requires a relevant degree and 8 to 12 years of related experience. May be titled Senior Analyst-Programmer.

55.15 Programmer Analyst-Level V Identify problems, suggest changes, and determine required coding. Assigns, coordinates, and reviews work of lower-level analyst-programmers. May train lower-level analyst programmers in advanced techniques. Prescribes standards for terms and symbols used to simplify interpretation of programs and documentation. Supervises preparation of records and reports. Normally requires 12 or more years of related experience and expert knowledge of specific applications and lines of business.

Conducts studies and analyses of existing office procedures and prepares system flow charts for existing and proposed operations. Under instruction prepares computer block diagram and may assist in the preparation of machine logic flow charting.

55.20 Systems Engineer Has responsibility for requirements analysis, system definition and design systems architecture.
