1 INDIANAPOLIS: Today we meet new friends on our awaited scenic journey to see the many treasures of Mackinac Island and Wisconsin.

2 RACINE • MILWAUKEE HIGHLIGHTS: Upon our arrival in Racine this afternoon, we visit a bakery to sample Danish Kringle. Racine is located on Lake Michi-

gan at the mouth of the Root River. We view one of the oldest and tallest active lighthouses on the Great Lakes, Windpoint Lighthouse. We continue to Milwaukee for a city tour. See three horticultural domes in Mitchell Park, Marquette University Campus, Port of Milwaukee, the cliffs, sprawling sand beaches, Lake Park, Pabst Theatre and much more. We overnight in the Milwaukee area. D

3 “CAPE COD OF THE MIDWEST” • LUNCH: A peninsula which divides Green Bay from the main body of Lake Michigan and boasts 250-miles of ruggedly beau-

tiful shoreline, Door County is often called the “Cape Cod of the Midwest.” Upon arrival to beautiful Door County we enjoy lunch before meeting our local guide for an afternoon of touring. We continue north and learn the history of the quaint little villages that make up this beautiful area. A drive through Wisconsin’s largest state park brings us to Eagle Bluff Lighthouse for a guided tour. This little gem, built in 1868, is period furnished. We overnight in Door County the next two nights. L

4 ICELANDIC SETTLEMENT AT WASHINGTON ISLAND • DOOR COUNTY FISH BOIL: This morning we enjoy breakfast at Al Johnson’s. See the famous goats

on the roof and enjoy the marvelous lingonberries atop a stack of pancakes. We leave time for shopping in the fabulous gift store. Next we ride to the Northern Pier where we board a ferry for a half-hour trip to Washington Island, located six miles off the coast in Lake Michigan. From here we enjoy a narrated sightseeing tour of the island on our motorcoach. Washington Island is one of the oldest Icelandic settlements in the United States and is a must on any trip to historic Door County. After lunch, we learn more about Door County’s rich maritime history at the Jackson Harbor Maritime Museum. The museum is located in two former fish-ing sheds, where fishermen continue in the commercial fishing trade. We see the beautiful Norwegian Stave Chapel patterned after the one in Borgund, Norway. We board the Washington Island Ferry and return to the Peninsula. Dinner this evening is an event you won’t soon forget. It’s a traditional Door County Fish Boil. B L D

5 LAMBEAU FIELD – GREEN BAY • MACKINAC ISLAND – LAKE VIEW HOTEL • DINNER: It’s a short drive to Green Bay. It has two claims to fame that no other

town in the state can match, it’s longevity and the Green Bay Packers. We take a guided tour of Lambeau Field and see the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame located at the field. We travel the northern shore of Lake Michigan to Mackinaw City. We board a ferry for an 18-minute cruise across the Straits of Mackinac to fascinating Mackinac Island for a two-night stay at the beautiful Lake View Hotel. Welcome to the Bermuda of the North! Upon arrival to the island we check into our lovely hotel. We enjoy a wonderful dinner this evening at the hotel. The rest of the evening is free to enjoy this beautiful island and hotel. D

6 CARRIAGE TOUR • GRAND HOTEL LUNCHEON • FREE TIME: We begin

our fabulous day on Mackinac Island with a steaming breakfast in the dining room of the Lake View Hotel. Late this morning we are off for a horse-drawn carriage tour of Mackinac Island and the State Park. We see several of the many rock formations along the shore from our carriage. The famous Grand Luncheon Buffet is included today at the beautiful Grand Hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to

enjoy the sweeping view of the Straits, stroll the shops of Huron Street, or walk some of the endless nature trails on the island. You may wish to see the Old Fort, which is within walking distance of the downtown area, or shop in the many shops near our hotel, after all the hotel is in downtown! Don’t forget to try the famous Mackinac Fudge. Mackinac has no motorized vehicles and the only way to get around is by horse-drawn carriage, bicycle or foot. Golfing, biking, swimming, and fudge eating are the four popular sports on Mackinac. B L

7 FRANKENMUTH • BRONNER’S CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND •

DINNER IN THE BAVARIAN VILLAGE: Our first stop today is in Frankenmuth, a Bavarian village founded in 1845 by Franconians from Germany. Enjoy the 35-bell glockenspiel that tells the storyof the Pied Piper, then explore a nos-talgic world of gift shops, craft shops,restaurants, and bakeries alongMain Street. Before leaving we visitBronner’s Christmas Wonderland, thelargest and best known Christmasdecoration store in the world. Weenjoy dinner at the Bavarian Inn,where their world-famous family-stylechicken dinner will be served. Wecontinue our travel to Flint, where weovernight. B D

8 HENRY FORD MUSEUM • DINNER: At the Henry Ford Museum we

see nearly three hundred years of technological and cultural change. The museum’s collections include communications, transportation, agriculture and domestic life. Later this evening we arrive in Cincinnati for a dinner and overnight. D

9 HOME: It is hard to believe our tour has come to an end! This has been a
