MacMarine Pontoon SystemOur investigation of the marine pontoon market yielded stability problems with existing products.Waves from passing boats caused a great deal of rocking - even walking on the existing pontoons caused excessive movement. There were also problems with durability and maintenance. With the above in mind, Macrete have developed the MacMarine Pontoon System. The pontoons are manufactured from reinforced concrete under ISO 9001 Quality Management System. The 2.4m wide by 4.5m long panels provide an extremely stable platform and exceptionally secure mooring for boats of all sizes. We have various pontoon to pontoon connection systems available, which may be selected depending upon the likely water conditions at your marina.

MacMarine Pontoon System. Stability: The main spine pontoon panels are 2.4m wide by 4.5m long. After the panels are set into water they can be linked up in pairs size 2.4m by 9m. These can then be put together to make any length required. A pontoon panel 2.4m by 9m weighs approx. 6500kgs. This weight allows for good stability and is based on a standard freeboard of 500mm. Alternative freeboard heights are available to accommodate the customers needs.

Durability: MacMarine Pontoon Systems are extremely durable because we use the highest quality products in our 50N concrete mix. Crushed basalt stone, quarry sand, cement, reinforced glass fibers BS reinforced steel frame.

Strength of Moorings: MacMarine Pontoons get their strength from high quality concrete and steel work. Our cast in socket system for floats and boat hooks are of quality stainless steel. Pile brackets are of galvanized steel section with hard nylon blocks for heavy wear.

Aesthetically pleasing: Because of our full panel finish system the colour is uniform, and a range of colours and finishes are available. The most common colour is Salmon pink with brush finish. Fendering can also vary from pressure treated softwood to hardwoods of your choice.

Safety: MacMarine Pontoons are great underfoot, they give the impression of walking on a normal roadway! They give you a great sense of safety for small children and personal belongings e.g. car keys money etc. No open slot surface as with other systems.
