PROJECT OVERVIEW
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY NANOCOMPOSITE SYSTEMS FOR PRE-TREATMENT OF CROP SEEDS Nanochemistry for the solution of mixed agriculture problems and improvement of environmental state Nanocomposite systems for effective feeding, elimination and preventive treatment of diseases in animals and birds on the basis of nanosilicas with immobilized on their surface biologically active substances, enzymes and probiotics
BENEFICIARIES / OUTCOMES
A new type of the complex nano-biocomposite materials for seeds pre-treatment is provided. Their effectiveness will be determined by some main factors influencing the faster growth of the root system and sprouts of crops: the presence in the zone of germination of balanced composition of mainly organic fertilizers, environmentally friendly growth stimulators and nanofungicides hampering the development of fungoid diseases, the effect of which will be enhanced by the growth of biological activity of the components induced by the surface forces which appear due to the presence of hydrophobic and hydrophilic nanosiliceous components in the composite. Combination of these factors will provide the constant increase in productivity of crops by 10-20%.
Depending on the usage conditions one will introduce into the composition of nano-biocomposites environmentally friendly growth stimulators (quercetin, terpenoids vitamin complexes), nanofungicides, naturally occurring organic fertilizers and series of microelements, the composition of which will be varied in accordance with the type of crops, peculiarities of the soil texture and climate characteristic
The second annual Solutions Summit took place at UN Headquarters in
New York on the evening of 21 September 2016 during UN General
Assembly week. Solutions Summit 2016 was a catalytic gathering that
highlighted projects which advance the objectives of one or more of
these upcoming global Summits and Conferences.

Invitation to register
Regional Consultation on Equity-Focused and Gender-Responsive National
Evaluation Policies and Systems in Africa
On 28 March 2017, Kampala Uganda
At the AfrEA conference
The is to conduct a regional consultation on “equity-focused and gender-responsive national evaluation policies” in Africa organized by AfrEA and GPFE in collaboration with APNODE, CLEAR AA, EvalGender+, AGDEN, AfDB, EVALSDGs, EvalPartners, IOCE, UN Women, UNEG and UNICEF to be held at the AfrEA International Conference in Kampala, Uganda. VOPE leaders, parliamentarians and government representatives will participate in the consultation to share the current progress and prepare country work plans to advance the NEP process. The consultation will enable participating countries to work on national evaluation policy and system together with stakeholders.
Intended participants: Parliamentarians, VOPE leaders and government officials responsible for M&E from African countries are welcome to register for the Consultation. Representatives from development partners and international organizations who are interested to support national evaluation policies and systems in African countries are also welcome to register.
This is a great opportunity to share updates on national evaluation policies from your country and learn from other countries and technical experts. Looking forward to see you in the regional consultation.

Connect Macrosorb LT to Business Opportunities in Southeast Europe at Trade Winds 2017
Over the past 10 years, the U.S. Commercial Service's TRADE WINDS forum and trade mission series has helped create more than $240 million in export sales. Participating companies have increased their profits and created more American jobs.
At Trade Winds - Southeast Europe your company will have the opportunity to gain a strategic foothold in some of Europe's most dynamic markets. Trade Winds 2017 will feature a business forum in Romania, along with optional trade mission stops in Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, and Serbia.
Clinical trials have found that this product is an effective treatment for purulent wound processes,
medication of patient’s body cavities after surgical treatment of peritonitis, in thoracic and other
types of surgery. Moreover, nanosilica acts as hemostatic agent and may be used for treatment of
some gynecological disorders.
Promising direction of modernization of nanocomposite systems based on silica is immobilization of
biologically active substances or phytogenic biomaterials on their surface. Thus one may create
environmentally safe dietary supplements with strong immunomodulating effect, which may be used
for preventive care and treatment of immunodeficiency disorders, products with strong antioxidant
effect, products containing probiotic microflora, etc. Preliminary researches have shown that one
may increase affinity of nanosilicas to phytogenic biomaterials by structural modification, which will
allow regulating the speed of separation of active substances from them. Usage of modified
nanosilicas as agents delivering preparations to lining of intestines may increase their biological
activity, which will decrease body’s chemical burden and reduce the prime cost of preparations.
