Forestry ProductionTimberland accounted for 34.4 percent of the surface land area of Madison County. Total forestry production contributed 4.5 percent of the county’s total agricultural and forestry production.

Overall Contributions to Madison CountyMadison County’s agricultural, forestry, and related industries generated 25,061 full- and part-time jobs, representing 10.7 percent of the county’s total workforce (233,957 jobs).
