This is an age where the simpler joys of childhood are steadily slipping away into thegaps between cellphone keys and under gaming consoles, or being crushed bybulky textbooks.

MadRat wants to steer children away from this bleak view and usher them towards acalmer, wiser childhood where the fun of play blossoms into joyous learning.Headquartered in Bangalore, this company has rejuvenated a dead industry andwas ranked amongst the Top Ten Indian Innovators by the Govt of India in Dec 2012.

Objective

MadRat Games, innovators of the world's first roll-up puzzle Madzzle,wanted to engage its Facebook audience in a contest on theoccasion of Fathers' Day.The Facebook community of MadRat mostly comprises of youngparents, and the company sought to bond with them over aconversation about their kids, because all parents love to talk abouttheir children. The contest had to fall into place with the brand'sperception as the harbinger of a calmer, wiser, happier childhood.

Campaign Idea:

To meet these objectives, Boring Brands came up withthe "SuperDad" contest. The idea was full of little quirksand a whole lot of feel-good factors.We started off with the basic concept that all fathers aresuperheroes in the eyes of their children. We asked thecommunity what they thought was their "SuperDadPower": it could be a father bragging about his ownmind-reading abilities, a mother posting about themultitasking skills of her child's father, or the audienceposting about their own fathers.
