My name is Alicia Breeher and I’m a freelance model from St. Louis Missouri. I started modeling about a year ago after a friend took me to a fashion show and I fell in love with the scene. I started networking with photographers and booking shoots all over the city at different locations and studios. I was not long after offered to walk in a runway show! In the

short almost year that I have been modeling, I have walked in 20+ runway shows, been on two different St. Louis news stations (one being a hair model for a salon, the other modeling a beautiful wedding gown for brides against breast cancer), gotten my first two publications, and traveled to Ohio to audition for America’s Next Top Model! Among these incredible opportunities,

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting not only other beautiful models, but talented designers/photographers/hair and makeup artists alike. Becoming a part of the modeling scene has made me take notice of all of the people following their dreams in my city that I never knew about before and admire their hard work and talent.

The idea behind the shoot was to be as romantic as possible and really capture the essence of Valentines Day. Who doesn’t want to be surrounded by rose petals and hearts on that special day right? I’ve been told since the shoot that it reminded a few people of a scene from the film American Beauty. This was a lovely compliment and I didn’t even notice until I looked up some pictures from the film! I just really was shooting to capture the essence of the holiday being love, sex appeal, and some visuals of what I feel represents it well.

You will be thinking : St. Valentine, again?! Or maybe it is your first St. Valentine with your boyfriend? In both cases, you will have to impress him and show him you are the best girlfriend ever. If you go to a restaurant, theatre or any kind of similar activity, the best choice is a dress, but not just a dress, the dress: elegant but sexy (St. Valentine is only once a year!). Choose one to increase the attention on your braist or on your legs, not both at the same time, otherwise it is too much. This year, fashion designers are playing with transparency and lace. Why don’t you follow them? Or if you prefer to stay 100% in the St. Valentine theme, wear a red outfit as the one proposed by the designer, Fabrice Bertrang.

My best advice concerning about what to wear once you will be back at home is wearing a nice lencery. But if you really want to shock him, try a complete lace outfit! Here you will find an exemple of the Romanian designer Cristina Velascu that will let your guy without words…

The anticipation is over, The Fifty shades of Grey

movie has finally hit our screens this Valentine’s weekend, sending scores of women flocking to their local cinema. The George Boutique Hotel in Limerick had buses filled with giggling women sipping on colourful cocktails for the perfect ladies day out. I was delighted to be asked as a guest on Joe Nash’s show on Limericks Live 95fm with comedian Karl Spain and Rugby legend Liam Toland to discuss what’s going on in the news. But Fifty shades of Grey was the main topic of course, so I’m looking forward to seeing it with my girlfriends next week, for research purposes only of course ha! Mr Grey will see you now. I found the most amazing professional makeup artist Louise Griffin from Limerick.

Louise made my makeup look flawless, this lady has a gift or making you look years younger, I loved my look. Louise is a mobile makeup artist that has beautified

On a recent visit to the beautiful city of Galway, I decided to treat myself to a wash and blow dry, so I found this marvellous Hair Salon “The Face” owned by Ronan Patterson, situated on William street West of the city. The Face comprises of a dynamic team of Toni & Guy trained stylists. A L’Oreal Professionnel salon, also stocking Redken & Label.m products. All of our their colour technicians have the most up-to-date L’Oreal Training, so whether you are looking for a colour change, all over colour, classic highlights, fashion colour or a bleach up, you know you are in trustworthy, professional hands. They can tailor a look that suits your style and personality so don’t hesitate to ask to speak to one of their technicians to ask for their advice. I was in and out in no time, and my hair was shiny and full of body. They only problem I had was I just wish they had a sister store in Limerick. Check out their website www.thefacehairdressing.ie

Everyone needs a few useful beauty tips once in a while and that’s why I’ve compiled a list with some of the best beauty tips available out there. Read them and memorize them, they’ll come in handy!

BronzerWhen applying bronzer, don’t just

dab on your cheeks and forehead. The trick to a flawless and natural look is to outline your face with the bronzer, and then applying it to your cheeks, nose and forehead. If you don’t do that, you’ll end up looking like you actually have a mask on!

Slimmer ThighsGet slimmer thighs by playing a visual trick. Apply self-tanner to your thighs and let it dry. Apply a second coat to your inner and outer thighs

(just leave out the front). This will make your thighs look slimmer, I guarantee it! I’ve tried and it works wonders!

Sexy eyeshadow Wetting your eyeshadow brush will make the colour more sparkly and mysterious. Dab your eyeshadow brush in a little bit of water, run it thorough the eyeshadow and apply to your lids. The wet shadow look is much sexier, and it’s an easy way to transition day makeup to night makeup.

Hair back comingWhen teasing your hair, make sure your strands are completely straight. It is best to straighten your hair before doing this as to avoid tangling and hair damage.

Healthy hairLeaving conditioner in your hair while you sleep is a good idea, if you can wrap it in a warm towel straight from the dryer. It is deep conditioning at its best and your mane will look fabulous the next day!

Healthy white smileDo not use bleach on your teeth every day. Using bleach every

single day will strip your teeth of its enamel therefore making them more sensitive, thinner, and with time, transparent! Instead, limit your obsession to 1-2 times a week. It’s more than enough!

In one of the next issues of Ondine , I will be gracing the front cover , yes me, I can’t believe it either. I had photo shoot with photographer Eva Birthistle at her studios in Thomas

Street Limerick recently and I can’t wait for you to see the photos. I must tell you about my competition that is commencing on Monday 16th of February. A whole make over for some lucky lady, from head toe. You can read all about it on my blog page https://www.facebook.com/Sharontuckersstylesecrets

She had a camera from a young age and never realised the full potential of its uses until 2011. This is when Mandy decided to attend a few short courses about photography and learn to use the camera correctly. It was goodbye to auto and jpeg and hello to manual and raw, followed by lighting techniques and Photoshop. With the help from friends, YouTube and Creativelive it all came together.

There is still so much to learn and Mandy always wants to improve her knowledge and let her creative juices flow. Her first model photo session was in August 2012 with 2 cute male models. Since then her photography has flourished from there and she has been able to collaborate with local and overseas models. Mandy never seems to go anywhere without her trusty Canon! Her passion is not limited to models and telling stories through them but photographing local and overseas landscapes and peoples’ way of life.

I got this idea for a shoot in a forest after seeing the movie Into the woods. We looked everywhere for the perfect location. We finally found this beautiful place called Yurramundi River in Richmond New South Wales Australia. There was also a beautiful lake there as well. The model Katie Lemass was great. Professional nice and really knew what she was doing. Nicole Young is my hair and makeup girl on most of my shoots we have been working together for almost a year and we get on so well so it makes the day so much fun.

I can’t imagine doing these shoots without her, as she knows exactly what makeup matches the kind of photos I take.A very good day with an amazing team.

My studio is based in Kells, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland. I have been shooting a mixture of portraits, music, fashion and products for the last 3 years as a semi-pro photographer, I had been shooting as an amateur

since 2008 when I rekindled my lust for photography, after shooting film when I was a young child with my father.

I supply creative and artistic photography. I am a Licentiate of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers in the UK. My main aspiration is to capture the moment in fine detail, and let the pictures

tell the story. Subtle expressions in a photo can speak a thousand words. I’ve specialised in capturing relaxed, calm and candid moments, that create a better understanding of the subject who is being

captured.

14

Page 15: Magazine #7

The idea of this shoot was inspired from my friend and stylist for the shoot, Claire. I was looking at her blog and though that it would be great to collaborate with her on a shoot using her own styling. After chatting to her she began to contact a few different shops in the Dublin area to get clothes for the shoot. I then set about contacting models and make up artists, I contacted Loren-Katie as I had worked with her before and knew she would suit this style. Checking around on Facebook and model mayhem I came across Milena. What stood out here for me was that she had a similar style shoot on her FaceBook page, along with a whole host of other excellent looks. It was a pleasure working with everyone, I hope you like the shoots from this shoot.

Spring A LUST FOR LIFE

So spring is here and along with that comes brighter days and pretty colours for us women to wear….Spring always brings out

the girlie girl in me - all things flowery, pretty pastel coloured clothes, tops, jeans, dresses and skirts and little ballet bumps. Clothes that flow and catch the wind. Bohemian love!!

I love Spring so much, not just because of the new season clothes in all the stores, but because Spring is new beginnings...fresh starts... and for me it brings out the romantic in me (Yes, it’s true. I’m a hopeless romantic and proud of it.) which brings me nicely along to Valentine’s Day.Valentines is something I don’t actually buy into entirely myself. I know. Strange - but true for I am a hopeless romantic.

I’m a ‘tell me and show me everyday’ girl. How much you love me? - I’m not the “one- day-of-the-year” Hallmark “told-you-so” kind of girl. For me it’s not about the big gestures (though ok. Yes. We all love surprises.) but more often than not it’s the small things: holding your hand while

you watch a movie; having your favourite bar of chocolate in the fridge for you; putting up with you when you’ve been a total pain but smiling and loving you anyway.

This time round you cannot mention Valentines without tying in the whole 50 Shades of Grey thing. Though I won’t be the woman in the queue waiting to see it, I will, however, get to see it but only because Jamie Dornan is - well let’s call a spade here – HOT on a whole new level HOTNESS.On this one occasion, as you emerge from the cinema having seen the movie, and you walk through the shopping centre or local town, forget about ‘Shades’ (for a little while at

least) and instead focus on the range of flower prints you see in the windows, the new pastels in 50

16

Page 17: Magazine #7

shades and the flow of the clothes.Everywhere we go changes seasonally- our hair; our skin - even in the restaurants we eat in go for a slight décor changes once Spring kicks in. Something as simple as the table setting for with Spring comes beautiful flowers, so open your eyes to the beauty of the pastel colours and flowers and fall in love with life. It’s all about

creating the Fashion of Life.

The Fashion of Life - what you wear – it’s a statement. A statement of who you are. Where you are at. For some

however that statement may come through their hobbies. For me, I love to paint. Perhaps the man or women in your life lives

and breathes sport – that is their statement. This statement can come through in the car you drive. The house you live in and – it’s also the man/women you love. All in all it all boils down to passion, therefore creating fashion.

Returning to ‘Shades’ Christian Grey said “I want your world to begin and end with me” (I love it!!) and to me that spells one word. Soulmate. Do we women want to be pursued, adored, loved and be the only one? Do we want to be whisked away to exotic destinations, given a credit card to shop without limits?. Or are we the fashionable independent types, who own their own castle, have our own money and take care of ourselves?Me? I want it all. –BUT I want to do it by myself. I want to stand on my own two feet. Run my own life. Make my own decisions – be they right or wrong - and still be adored by one I love. Of course every now and again I think its ok to let them be the Mr Grey in our lives. (Ahem) but it better be the right time and mood.

Simply be equal on all levels. I’ll leave you with something my mom always said to my me and my siblings ”Be strong. Be passion. Be love. Be life. Be art. Be beautiful” This Spring I’m going to be all with pastel colour clothing. For more of me check out Head Over Killer Heels.

In punishment for a crime she never committed, the royal princess Sindy was plucked from the fantasy realm she would one day rule and banished to the alien world of reality. Confused and worried by this grievous sentence imposed upon her by an imperious lord, she wanders the verdant gardens of reality, overcome by loneliness. Gradually, however, the beauty of nature all around her in this strange place soothes her sorrows, and she begins to smile.

The intention of this shoot was to show that you do not need an expensive studio set up to shoot photos that look and feel professional. This shoot took place in the kitchen of an urban bungalow in an hour on a Saturday afternoon. “The model in question wanted shots that reflected her personality which was good for me as I like to shoot what the model wants as it pushes by boundaries” says Mark

“It was great to work with Mark as he was so professional and he made me feel at ease from the time I stepped into the room until I left.” said Ruta “He was able to see what I wanted instantly and the images I got were exactly what I imagined”

“Not every shoot has to be in an expensive studio with big expensive light. This was a quick set up with some middle of the range lighting. most important was understanding the model and seeing the shot” said Mark.

Emily Rebekah

Emily Rebekah is a fashion, portrait and beauty photographer. She grew up in Cork City in the beautiful South of Ireland, where she currently resides. Before a career in photography Emily Rebekah was a professional makeup artist in the beauty, fashion and film industry. Where her passion for photography began. She started out her career at a young age by organising her own photoshoots of her makeup looks. With a basic digital camera and a natural flair for styling her models, she saw the power of capturing beauty as well as transformation. Her creative makeup portfolio led her to receive “Portobello Institute Student Makeup Artist of the Year” Award. In search of self improvement and mastering her skills she was consistent with studying and educating herself. By chance she discovered her interest in photography at a professional level, while attending a Fashion Photography Workshop in Paris hosted by a well known international photographer. Emily Rebekah has a natural eye for seeing and capturing beauty with a deep love and respect for fashion as a powerful art form.

How to become a Photographer? You must have passion for working with the camera, a good knowledge of the basics and be willing to put in the hours. It is hard work, after a shoot when everyone else is finished you could be spending days or weeks afterwards working on images as well as having other shoots and image deadlines due. You need to surround your self with positive people and have a good support system to keep you motivated.

It is essential to develop your eye to appreciate art, form and structure. Shooting regularly helps you find your style so your work stands out from the rest. Also narrowing down your genres helps you get more work in your selected fields.

What is the most challenging part about being a photographer for you?Having the right model and team for the job is essential. Hair,

makeup and styling are all very important to the final image. So to avoid challenges on set, emailing the whole team a mood board with colour schemes, hair and makeup guidelines, the fashion that will be used as well as location to ensure everyone involved has a clear vision.

What Inspires you?I am constantly inspired by nature, architecture, films, fashion magazines and other photographers. Since I started

26

Page 27: Magazine #7

27

Page 28: Magazine #7

photography my eyes have been trained to really see and appreciate the beauty around me. I draw from locations and fashion in movies and every time I flick through a fashion magazine I have to tear out pages to study later. I have been so lucky to attend talks by photography greats David Bailey and Tim Walker and to work with and assist one of my favourite photographers and friend Emily Soto. Also Creative Live is incredibly inspiring.

What makes the good picture stand out from the average? It might be the models expression, the composition or the perfectly timed capture. For example the movement of a dress or animals interacting with your model can add an interesting mood to the image.

What does photography mean to you?It is a way for me to combine all my interests in one source. It allows me to create stories of beauty and fantasy. It is showing the strength of fashion and the romance of movement. It is capturing that shot that makes you more excited than anything. It encourages me to be adventurous, travel and explore. I have met the most amazing, talented people around the world through photography. I really love it.

How important is it for a photographer to “connect” with his subjects to bring out their true self?In order to achieve the results required the subject must trust the photographer and their environment. If the subject feels uncomfortable or looses interest for the shoot, it shows. As a result the photographer can become uninspired leading to average or unusable work. It is the photographers responsibility to make sure their subject is fed, hydrated and comfortable at all times to create the desired effect.

28

Page 29: Magazine #7

Colour vs. Black and White. Why one over the other, and is the photographic process different? It is a personal preference for photographers choosing one over the other. Personally at the moment colour suits my style more. I usually view my images in both but I find I can express femininity, beauty and romance more naturally in colour. Black and white changes the mood so the process is different. Both are worth exploring.

Is there something you always ask to yourself/

think just before you push the button?Due to busy work schedule, I can not afford to spend hours fixing mistakes in photoshop. So I try to get everything right in the camera. Experience teaches you to look before you click. Composition, what is behind the subject, hair, accessories or the way the dress falls are all thing I look out for. A great team will also look out for these things in case you need to shoot fast and miss something.

If you could take your art in any direction without fear of failure or rejection, where would it lead? What new thing would you try?

Apart from going international with fashion photography. The new thing I would like to try is shooting on film locations. Some of my favourite portraits are ones captured in old Hollywood movies. Audrey Hepburn and Hubert De Givenchy are one of my favourite fashion collaborations of all time. Moderns films such as Memoirs of a Geisha and The Great Gatsby are so visually stunning.

What is your best photography tip?Shoot at least twice a week. You learn so much from each shoot and gain invaluable experience.

Hi photography lovers,This is the second time that I can publish some of my work in Ondine Magazine. As a result, I will tell you a bit more about myself than I did the first time. I live in Belgium, more specific West-Flanders. Although this is a tiny country compared with others, it is beautiful and full of talented photographers, models, make-up artists and stylists. On top of that, we have the best chocolate, beer and French fries. This should convince you to visit Belgium one day, and maybe we can do a shoot together then ;-) In June 2014, I graduated as a Veterinarian and currently I am working at Ghent University as a PhD student. And as you can guess, in my spare time I love to do model work! Apart from photography, I have several hobbies: drawing, cycling (in the dirt as well as on the road), longboarding, walking, dreaming of possessing and old car (preferably one from the sixties) and, of course, having fun with friends and family. Like everyone, I have some good and bad qualities, but I don’t think this

would interest you ;-)The photographs I sent in are the result of the cooperation with the talented photographer Piet Cosaert. We both love the fine art style and Brooke Shaden is a very inspiring photographer to us. For me, fine art is a way to express emotions in a special way and it helps you to believe in extraordinary things. I don’t have my own style yet as a model, but fine art is definitely one of my favorites! I am planning to do more shoots in this style together with Piet Cosaert, since he is very good photographer, but more important, he is a good friend too. I hope you like the photographs and you can find more of my work on: https://www.facebook.com/ChloeDeWittePortfolioFinally, I would like to thank Ondine Magazine to give me this wonderful opportunity!

I started my story with photography from landscape photography. I have my camera on every walk with me. Therefore, I am grateful to my friends for their patience during these trips, when I can suddenly stop to do a whole series of photos. I want to catch beauty of nature and of the moment. I want to share my vision of world with other people. I wish to show how I see the nature and world. I like Mantajewski Photography and Ninevet photography. My favourite photographer is Bartek Mika Fotografia. I like this magic in his pictures. I learn something new everyday, and I hope that my pictures will be getting better with every shoot.

It’s a color associated with all romantic things: passion, beautiful, warm and intimate. The reception room can be influenced with red in many ways: the red bows on the chair covers, red flowers, red candles, rose’s petals, red hearts shaped, red balloons, nice red with white backdrops, white cake with lots of roses. There is no limit to the way you can add red to your wedding décor. Soft red lightning can create a romantic setting for the reception area. Check out our décor photos and venue styling!

My name is Sharon Burke, I am 18 and this Fall I will be starting my first year at the University of Missouri where I either plan on majoring in Broadcast Journalism or Marketing. This photo is my Victory Photo. I have been athletic my whole life. I played soccer since I was in the kindergarten. It was one of my passions. I was in great shape and had great endurance. In early 2014, I became ill and the illness robbed me of all of my energy. I could barely get through the day. I spent many days at home sleeping and during school I would sleep at the nurses office. The doctor said it would take me a very long time to rebuild up my endurance because the illness has lingering effects.. At that point, I had decided to give up soccer and get into strength training just so I could get through the day. It was very difficult but I kept at it and eventually slowly came back. At the time this photo was taken, I was at a point where I was running and strength training. My endurance was back!

From uniform to Designs, that’s the contrast from the life of Fabian Von Gelder. Running on an obstacle course or walking down the runway, it’s both an adrenaline rush for him. Working as a Corporal in the Dutch army and living at the base during the week. Combined with modeling on the weekends and sometimes even during the week after his military workdays. It’s a busy life, but quoting Fabian: “I’m living my dreams”. It was never the fairytale of being discovered, like a lucky number in the lottery. Fabian started modeling as a hobby, doing amateur photoshoots hoping to get into the fashion industry. In the beginning of 2013 his modeling career finally took off, he started doing professional photoshoots and runway shows. His work has been

published worldwide in magazines like Fashion GUN Magazine, Dark Beauty Magazine, Nirvana Magazine and Billboard Avenue Magazine. He was on the runway during the Africa Couture Fashion & Designer Week in Africa and many international designers in The Netherlands. Traveling around the world for his two jobs is not uncommon, with the variety of military cold weather training in Norway and modeling on contract in Istanbul, Turkey. These days he is also co-owner of MGB Models and trains and guide new faces into the fashion industry. In his free time he works out 5 times a week combined with a healthy diet and loves to be in the kitchen to cook for his friends and family.

Page 45: Magazine #7

My name is Hugo Deneweth, I am 52 years young and I live inBelgium. I’m working as teacher in a primary school and in my spare time, I’m a non-professional photographer. For me is it just a hobby. My interest and photographic work is concentrated on portrait and model photography.I didn’t follow a school for photography and learned it all by myself:looking to video’s, pics, films and behind te scenes from other photographers all over the world.I followed different workshops in Belgium and the Netherlands.I have now my little homestudio.I’m interested in workshops so I can learn more about fashionphotography, working with different lighting sets on beautiful locations.I also love to work with great stylists, make-up artists and inspiring photographers so I can learn more of there experience and the teamworkThe main aim of this shoot was to work with pastels and candy.I achieved this by using soft light ( softbox ) and a white background. The makeup artist had a pink hat that she decorated with candy.

Page 46: Magazine #7

This photo shoot was actually inspired by what a bad breakup can do to a person. In this case, myself. We all have two sides to us. A good, and a bad. Innocent and guilty. For me, an angel and a cupid. The white image represents my innocent and pure angelic side I had before I had been through all the emotions and pain of what wasted love can do to anyone. I felt simple, beautiful, natural, and my smile was my best makeup. After having been through everything a breakup has to offer, I discovered a darker side of myself that was devious, sultry, and sexy. I

learned I had the power to seduce. And seduce I did. I was literally like a cupid, only instead of shooting arrows at couples, I shot arrows at the men I desired. It was my way of getting even. But now I have learned that seduction and false intentions are not the answer. I know I have the

ability to hurt, but its choosing not to hurt that makes a person more desirable. Through these lessons, and with the help of my lovely team members and friends, Brian, Megan, and Nayeli, I am able to convey my metaphorical transition from a pure diamond, to a vivid red crimson jewel.

Who’s Next Paris fashion fair

At the end of January, the international fashion fair in Paris, Who’s Next and Première Classe, took place. I was there to present my last winter collection 2015/16, so I will show you some information.

Who’s Next presents clothes’ brands of all types, divided into 5 different areas : FAME (ready to wear), PRIVATE (brands recognized on the international scene, TRENDY (creative but affordable brands), URBAN (sportswear), STUDIO (divided into different groups like ceremony dresses or casual).Premiere Classe presents accessories with brands worldwide. The main tendencies were the 90’s style, the masculine forms, the dark sportswear and combination of patchworks of varied materials in the same piece. The colour red was everywhere! As every year, famous brands like La Fée Maraboutée, Weill, Hoss Intropia, Yaya and many others were really demanded, and their stands were always crowded.

I also met some other brands like these:

Klements, designed by the londonian Charlotte Allen. She proposes a selection of printed scarves and clothes inspired on her photographs around the theme “Dark Voyage”.

Diani, a new brand from Luxembourg that is composed of silk and lace dress and overalls made in France. Aleksandra, the stylist, takes her inspiration out of the simplicity and glamour of people like The Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, Duchess of Belgium, Stéphanie or even Princess of Monaco, Charlène. All collection is made in black and white.

Pasotti, a familiar Italian company based in the countryside of Mantova, that produces handmade bespoke umbrellas and distributes them in a lots of countries. They are really creative!

This year, it was the 20th anniversary of the Who’s Next Fashion Fair, so two big parties took place in Porte de Versaille, where all exhibitors were invited.

The fair also organised four exhibitions as one named “World Jewellery Facets”, imagined

by Swaroski. They proposed 30 pieces made of Swaroski crystals and designed by stylists like Karl Lagerfeld, Jean – Paul Gaultier, Oscar de la Renta, Belle Paris or Rinaldi.

The January 2015 edition has been really successful, so let’s wait for the next one (September 2015)!

Alicja Piekarska, 19 year old student, I come from Poland and I live in Ireland for the past 10 years. To keep myself busy I start taking pictures and I share a big love and passion towards it. I’ve so far work with hair salons like Peter Marks and Staunton Byrne by taking pictures for their competitions. I began my love to photography by taking pictures of cars and I really enjoy it. Working with models is very recent for me but I am beginning to love it a lot ! Through photography I express my feelings and I also get to meet some amazing people!I’ve been doing freelancing photography from my very young age, and everyday I learn something new!I hope to make a great career out of it someday.

Norwegian Kristine Jensson (21) might work as a model, - but currently doing her business degree, majoring in marketing and management, the ambitious girl has long ago proved what any industry insider would know; to survive the competitive industry of modeling and fashion, you need both passion and self-confidence, business-sense and great marketing skills.

Upon graduating the rigorous International Baccalaureate program and starting out as a freelance journalist at age 16, - she went to work in the Swedish capital (and loved it). Then, after pursuing a lifelong passion for traveling, - she moved across the globe, alone, to settle down (at least for a while) in Sydney.

What best describes you? I follow my dreams, and pursue my goals. And I strive to be an achiever. For me, modeling is a tool to achieve some of these many goals. It enables me to feed an ever-so-great urge to create and see immediate results of my work, and to express myself, the stories and emotions I want to convey. With a lifelong passion for singing, experienced

in acting, dancing and creative writing, my current focus, however, is first and foremost on getting the education I came here for. That, while trying to balance the ‘need to travel’ and modeling. In the upcoming semester I’m also doing a business placement program, and I already know 2015 will be an exciting year.

Dublin’s Next Top ModelsUnder 18

This year Dublin’s Next Top Models event took place on the 8th of February in Carlton Hotel in Blanchardstown. With

the doors opening at 12.00pm, we saw the children coming in on the red carpet with their faces full of joy and happiness, feeling like stars as they were welcomed by a group of photographers trying to immortalise that special moment in time. Let’s not forget their parents

and their siblings as they fed from the children’s happiness. The event was organised by Teresa Creighton from TrixyPix Photography Dublin, together with her partner Peter Doyle, who she said was her rock in creating and organising this event, offering her support and understanding, and being there at every single step she took. For those who don’t know, TrixyPix Photography is a very successful photography business based in Blanchardstown, specialising in all types of family events, with a huge positive feedback and recognition

from many happy customers. This year event was organised together with Gabriela Patterson from Roza Modelling Agency Galway who helped with picking the winners, and being there on the event day with a few gorgeous models, all supportive to the little children to make them feel like stars on the red carpet and in front of their families. The event room, organised and decorated by Cristina Bucur from

Wedding Star Decor Dublin looked like a dream. With the red carpet where the winners and the runners ups had to show they’re best skills, the little lights that looked like many fire flies are kept inside to show them the way, the scene, the backdrops, all came together in such a harmony that everyone felt like a VIP. As the show started with a big thank you speech from Teresa Creighton , we saw the models from Roza Modelling

Agency doing the catwalk together with the runner ups , in the load sound of applauses coming from the audience. All the smiles the

little ones had on their catwalk, perhaps the first ever catwalk in their life, made you feel proud as a parent, feeling the need to accomplish what your little child has done. At the end of every catwalk, Teresa Creighton gave to each of them a Certificate of Achievement together with a €30 voucher from the main sponsor Childstar.ie and a €10 voucher for a photoshoot with TrixyPix Photography. Then they were presented in front of the silk backdrop for a photo-shoot from left: Gabriela Patterson/Roza Modeling Agency, Ioan Hiliuta/Ondine Magazine, Teresa Creighton/TrixyPix
