Front Page

Masthead- well known typography to make readers feel comfortable and make the magazine feel familiar. It is clearly seen on the front cover, at the top of the page. It follows the maximum two word rule which jux opposes the informal text and image.

This is a tag, it is a well known phrase and therefore engages the readers and other possible audiences. It is also a strapline/Cover line as it is telling you what will be in the magazine but is short and snappy. This shows that this magazine is very up to date and interacts well with its audience. The last sentence is a puff as it talks about other content in the magazine.

There is a skyline along the middle of the page, calling out about a special attraction. It is also a plugas it boosts the status of the magazine because V Festival is a very prestigious event for young people to visit. The whole composition of the magazine is very informal and goes against the typical codes and conventions of a magazine as it does not have a pug or an integrated cover. This means the focus really is on the main image therefore is a poster cover.

This slogan catches its audiences eye as it implies that the magazine was written by people who are of the same social groups as their target audience, therefore are writing what the people want to hear.Main Image has one line of anchorage text, it again is very informal and is using pop culture references/colloquialisms (emojis&catchy well known phrase) to engage their audiences.

Contents PageThe same font is used on the contents page as the front cover which implies the magazine is very professional and established. This would imply that the black and red colours and this font is the in-house style This makes the audience recognize the magazine form others.

His page shows a very specific house style that gives this magazine a unique identity. The identity that is given is shown to be informal due to the words being cut off the page, the tilt of the text and the picture of the people at a festival in the corner. This all connotes to a relaxed and laid back attitude that would appeal to their target audience.

Again this contents page shows that this magazine does not adhere to the typical does and conventions of the magazine genre. For example it does not have a slug, nor does any of the pictures bleed.
