The masthead has been done is Sans Serif font which is bold and clear therefore eye catching and easy to read. The masthead “TOP of the POPS” suggests to us that the magazine is based on the best of POP music.

People - They have used One Direction as the main image on the front cover as a result this would attract their fans and music fans and also aspiring singers to purchase the magazine.

Other pictures – The cover of the magazine consists of a range of celebrities who could be classed as “teen heartthrobs” it suggests to the reader the the genre of the magazine is to do with music as they have included images of many artists.

Colour - The main colour used on the front cover is pink which is a feminine colour this suggests it is aimed at females.

Font – The masthead font is fun and fancy this may be used to attract females.

Words – the text on the front cover tells readers what's inside the magazine such as friendship, style secrets and romance. They have used different artists such as Rita Ora, Justin Bieber and Cheryl, which will attract different people.

When purchasing the magazine the reader gets free gifts in this case it’s a book and make up this will convince a person to buy the magazine as they will feel like their getting more for their money.
