TRANSCRIPT
To my amazing students in first period, Fletcher is sick again and has a rash, therefore cannot go to daycare until he is all better. My husband is flying literally around the world so I am in this alone aka I will be home with him for at least the next two days. #militarywife #sickbaby So instead of me starting in on InDesign you are just going to use Photoshop to start the magazine unit. Hopefully you paid attention yesterday on the worksheet to all the things that are on almost ALL magazines. Now you will practice with things I give you. Enjoy. Email questions. Fingers crossed I’ll be back Friday. -‐Mrs. St. Louis
Don’t let the smile fool you. That’s how he lures you in.
Magazine Cover Practice Before you create your own front cover, with your own images and articles you will be putting together a cover with the information I give you. You must have the following things:

The name of the magazine is Ruff Life, the modern dog magazine. You may use the image supplied or one of YOUR OWN. (You may not steal from Google) Yours must have ALL of the following! Please use todays Date and it is #116 in the publication. Lead Article: Secrets to Good Canine Health. Coverlines:
" Dog is my co-‐pilot. " What’s in the mix. " Home cooking. " Enviro hazards – the effects on our dogs " Green rides
" What Makes Dogs Laugh? " Honest canines " Howl – The book " 50+ Great dog finds
We will work on it in class today and tomorrow & Friday. I have provided the stock photo and an image of the start of one. I did not want to put an entire completed one up because I did not want you to copy. I needed to leave you some room to decide how to make things look and what colors work. Monday you will be starting on your own cover so you will need to find a picture and think about what magazine you will be doing and what articles will be in it.
Good Luck!
