Pamina, the 'entle, virtuous maiden, and the 'ods o decreed they shall $e

rom the side o her proud mother. This woman considers hersel 'reat, and hopes
throu'h delusion and superstition to $e'uile the populace and to destroy the 1rmoundations o our temples. However she shall not succeed. Tamino himsel shall
$ecome one o us, and aid us to stren'then the power o virtue and wisdom, and
with that power, he shall save us all and secure or himsel a way to return home,
should he so choose.
"p: reat "arastro, we admire your wise discourse. However, will Tamino $e a$le to

": -ore than that, he is is a man.
