Magic Jack Presentation – Julija’s part

SLIDE 1Magic Jack is a device that would let you forget about the monthly phone bills, by offering free local and long distance calls in the U.S. and Canada. The device itself costs $20 and the service fee is 19.95 per one year or 69.95 for 5 years. Magic Jack competitor Vonage offers similar service starting with $18 per month, while Skype Phone charges its users approximately one quarter cent per minute.

SLIDE2There are 3 things that you need in order to get Magic Jack to work:

Telephone – it can be either cordless or corded Computer – the very basic model is ok. Any computers manufactured within last 5 years

should cause no problems. Internet connection. It can be either:

WiMax In order For Magic Jack to work your computer must be on or be in the Stand-by mode and have a live internet connection. The Magic Jack is easy to install:Show how to hook up Magic jack to computer & phone. While showing:

- If you do not want to use one of your computer's USB ports you may use an external USB hub.

- Software is getting downloaded to your computer automatically. You only need to enter your contact information and select the area code for your phone number. You can also select the first three digits of the phone number, the last four will be assigned automatically.

Slide 4Why do we want to move our product to the international markets? What would be our audience? How are they going to use our product?The first target in foreign markets is individuals, who due to work or other reasons often have to call the U.S. or Canada. They can simply install Magic Jack select either Canadian or US phone number and call these countries for free. The second target is companies that do business with American or Canadians companies.

Now, I am going to explain why the India Market has a huge possibility to launch the product. Basically, our product is based on Internet access, it is important to know how fast online users grow up. According to the Times of India, India will have the third largest online users. So, the market has a huge potential to sell the product.

Besides, we can also target almost everyone from individual customers to professionals in India. For example, we can target people who have family and friends living in U.S. According to U.S Census Bureau, there are 3 million Indians Americans in the U.S. We can target students pursuing higher education and professionals seeking jobs abroad just like Gunjan (Personal Comments).

Furthermore, Magic Jack is the ultra inexpensive, compared to Vonage. It is one of the competitors in Voice over Internet Protocols Business in India. For example, the initial cost of Magic Jack is 39.95$ one time for Device and 20$ every year after that. On the other hand, vonage users they need to pay 25$/month, which is the most popular residential plan. And of course, as Julija mentioned before, it is very easy to use. It has only three steps (explain!!)

India's poor Internet connectivity makes the country stand at 115th position in terms of speed, among 223 nations. As per a report, India's average Internet connection speed stands low at 772 Kbps compared to the global average of 1.5 Mbps.

The country ranks 93rd in terms of broadband adoption globally with 3.74 percent connections at speed over 2 Mbps and 55th for the adoption of narrowband adoption at speeds below 256 Kbps. In terms of broadband penetration, India had 0.0001 broadband IPs per capita.

As mentioned previously by Julija, Magic Jack works the best with high speed Internet or DSL; the problem of Internet connectivity could be a major hindrance.

India faces huge power failures every now and then. This could affect the use of Magic Jack, as Magic Jack needs an active computer and Internet connection.

Infact Magic Jack could be referred to as a VoIP (voice over Internet Protocol). VoIP telephone adapters connect to routers or cable modems which typically depend on the availability of mains electricity or locally generated power. Thus the problem of power failures could be an obstacle in the use of magicjack.

The broadband Internet speeds are all set to rise for the Indian net surfer. Various companies are coming out with high speed Internet plans at affordable costs.

Also people now use invertors and generators for power back up which to some extent can resolve the issue of power failures.
