Sometimes we lose sight

of our inherent worth.

In today’s high-pressure world the

line between what we see and what

is possible begins to blur. When our

vision becomes obscured, it is essential

to seek someone who can help. Magnolia

Creek revitalizes new possibilities by

offering a multidisciplinary team to

renew your hope, restore your health

and reclaim your worth.

Who We AreLocated just outside of Birmingham, AL, Magnolia Creek

Treatment Center for Eating Disorders treats women

(18 years or older) who struggle with eating disorders

such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating

disorder, other specified/unspecified eating disorders,

rumination disorder, pica, and avoidant / restrictive

food intake disorder.

Magnolia Creek, dually licensed as an eating disorder

and mental health treatment center, can tailor the

program for co-occurring mental health conditions

such as mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder,

post-traumatic stress disorder, attachment disorder,

dissociative disorders, and personality disorders.

o u r p r o g r a m

Clients identify emotions related to their eating

disorder symptoms and co-occurring mental health

conditions. Clients then practice communications

skills, share assignments, and discuss recovery

progress and relationship issues.

Family TherapyMagnolia Creek’s family program is designed to

provide education, advocacy, and therapy for the

family members of our clients. Initially, our clients

meet with their treatment team to establish family

and relationship goals, and clients identify the family

members or support system with whom they would

like to work in family therapy.

Nutrition ProgramClients meet with dietitians weekly and complete food

and feelings logs after each meal and snack. As progress

is made, clients gain freedom and responsibility related

to meal planning, preparation, and dining.

After Care ProgramOften, the hardest recovery work begins when residential

or partial treatment ends. While in treatment, clients

will develop an individualized discharge plan with our

After Care Coordinator. We maintain community and

provider resource lists and offer psychoeducational and

recovery protection process groups. Similarly, members

of our clinical staff contact discharged clients, at regular

intervals, to provide therapeutic or dietetic consultations

and information about upcoming workshops, and / or

community resources.

Residential ProgramMagnolia Creek’s residential treatment program

offers high levels of structure and stability to clients.

Clients in residential treatment live at Magnolia Creek

and attend programming seven days a week. Medical

and therapeutic services are available to clients

24 hours a day. Clients participate in individual,

experiential, and group therapy.

Partial Hospitalization Program (php)Magnolia Creek’s partial hospitalization program

provides structure and stability to clients during

daytime hours. The standard PHP schedule runs

seven days a week (7:30 am - 6:30 pm), but this

schedule may be extended or shortened, as needed.

Clients in PHP participate in individual and group

therapy and meet with the program’s medical

director, nurse, and dietitian regularly. Depending

on their individualized schedule and treatment plan,

clients eat some meals/snacks on campus and some

meals / snacks off-site. Magnolia Creek provides

non-local PHP clients furnished apartments.

Supportive LivingSupportive living is similar to day treatment

and allows clients to participate in individualized

therapeutic activities several times a week, while

living within their own, off-site residence. Our staff

assists in finding and securing appropriate

housing, as well.
