1. Quest North America 2012 – Quality Engineered Software Quality and Testing Conference and Expo: Web Accessibility: A Missed Quality Requirement. Thursday, May 3rd WorkshopServices, products, information, and entertainment on the web can all be made available to millions consumers with vision loss, hearing loss, motor control loss, or even information processing challenges by complying with web accessibility standards. Assistive technologies, such as screen readers, enable web use by visitors with profound vision loss or blindness by converting web page text and images into computerized voice. But, these technologies cannot interpret websites or web applications that are not built and tested for compliance to Section 508 of the Rehab Act of 1973 as updated in the1998 Rehab Amendments Act.

Producer, the forerunners - Chicago, IL (November 23, 2010) — The forerunners , a documentary film created to encourage students with disabilities to pursue education in science, technology, engineering and math, earned this year’s Silver Hugo Award in the Human Resources Category at the 46 th annual International Communications Media Competition (INTERCOM). Successive to its Silver Hugo, The forerunners has been honored as a CINE Golden Eagle recipient. CINE is internationally recognized for its highly acclaimed film and video competitions and related educational support activities which culminate every year in a gala Awards Event held in the Washington, D.C. area.
