Excel 2010 Basics Tuesday, March 8 6:00 - 8:00PM New to Excel? Come and get an overview of how to create and navigate a spreadsheet and how to write and edit basic formulas in this hands-on class. A USB drive is optional to save exercises. Computer and keyboard skills required. Registration required. Valley Roots Series: Valley Myths, Folklore, and Other Stories Wednesday, March 16 7:00 - 8:30PM Join us for the March session of our Valley Roots Series, “Valley Myths, Folklore, and Other Stories” presented by Valley author David Bowles. A product of an ethnically diverse family with Latino roots, Bowles has lived most of his life in the Río Grande Valley. He is the recipient of awards from the American Library Association, Texas Institute of Letters and Texas Associated Press, and has written several books. His recent book, The Smoking Mirror, has won the Pura Belpré Honor Book Award. Registration required.

It’s Kitten Season! Saturday, March 19 3:00 - 4:00PM Spring is the time of year when the most litters of kittens are born, and communities experience the most challenges with the overpopulation of stray cats. What should you do if you come across a litter of kittens? How do you know if a kitten needs rescuing? Palm Valley Animal Center has the answers to your questions and many great tips to share at this program for all ages. Registration required. MPL Book Club Tuesday, March 22 7:00 - 8:30PM Book club members meet to discuss this month’s selection, Orphan Train, by Christine Baker Kline. Coloring for Adults Thursday, March 24 3:00 - 4:00PM Coloring is not just for kids! Studies have shown that it is a calming method of relaxation for adults. Come unwind with us at the end of the week. Colored pencils, coloring pages, and relaxing music will be provided. Registration required.

Small Business Seminar- Branding Thursday, March 31 10:00AM - 12:00PM Are you starting a small business? Wondering about ways to market and brand your business? Join us for this informative seminar on business branding taught by the UTRGV Small Business Development Center. Registration required. We will view and discuss three timeless Criterion Series films: The Seventh Seal on March 5th, Chronicles of a Summer on March 12th and Rashomon on March 19th. Mark Hernandez of Platydroid Productions will lead the discussion of each film’s themes and how they relate to current society. Registration required.
