The Parole and Probation Administration is the forefront of community-based corr ections system wi th the aim of helping ensure their rehab ilit ation outside incarceration for an effective social integration reduction of crime incidence . The process involves selection of potential applicants for the benefi ts of probation, parole and conditional pardon and recommending to courts or Board of Pardons and Parole . Grant ing of these privil eges place s the offen ders under supe rvis ion. Their compliance to the conditions attached to their probation and parole is a vital component for the succes sful int egr ati on. It also inc ludes par tic ipatio n in the rehabilitation program utiliing intervention that will remodel their views, behavior to a more socially responsible, law abiding and productive members of society. !ommun ity involvement in the pro cess of int egr ation is mobili ed to monitor act iviti es and giv e suppor t to other nee ds and acc ept ance to the se penite nt offenders. In support to the national policy of ma"imiing community involvement in the administration of the criminal #ustice system, it has become imperative for the Parole and Probation Administration to open every opportunity to allow community participation in the implementation of the parole and probation programs.
