ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We wish to express our deep sense of gratitude to Deptt.Of Electronics and Communication Engg. V.C.T Kumaon engg. College Dwarahat for his inspiring guidance, meticulous councel, constructive criticism and generous gift of time has devoted, which enabled us to carry out this project successfully.

We sincerely thank our Head of the Department Respected B.K.SinghSir, Respected R.P.Singh Sir and all the respected faculty members for there valuable guidance and suggestions which made the initiation of this Project possible. We hope that their guidance and supervision will continue till the completion of this Project and will make the Project a grand success.

We are also thankful to all the laboratory assistants for their everlasting help in the completion of the project work.

THANKING YOU….

OBJECTIVE:

Password based Intelligent Door locking system using microcontroller 8051.

Introduction :-

An access control for doors forms a vital link in a security chain. Thesystem consists of a code lock system, an alarm system and a driver circuit toopen and close a gate. The lock system makes use of a pin to grant access toindividuals. The pin is chosen by the individual who wants to secure the door.In some cases multiple pins can be used to secure the same door. The best ofthese models include the lock and the keypad all on one unit. The pin can beentered through an attached keypad or through a mobile phone device .since amobile phone can be used to control the system, it has the advantage that itcould be remotely controlled from any place that has network coverage. It hasthe capability to detect unauthorized entry and to inform the same using a buzzer alarm.

intelligent door locking system by using 8051 with the other IC help password locking door .It will operate from any mobile phone .

In this type system using mobile phone door will be password protected ,for opening the door and closing the door or change the password all operation done by the mobile phone.

Motivation

Page 5: Major Project Progress Report

The main and very basic need of security was fulfilled by using the mechanical or electrical locks which are very heavy and designed for only one key. Therefore a large number of locks of required for locking a large industries there are many keys for different locks (i.e. a very tedious task to arrange these keys). These locks are not so much protective and could be broken by using some mechanical tools. All these problems could be solved if we use electronic locking system in place of these electrical & mechanical locks. There are also some more features are available in theseelectronic locking system The electronic security system are very light, flexible, reprogrammable, lower cost, more accurate, highly secure and required less power. In this way due to the introduction of the electronic security system the security need and fulfilled to a great extent and we could protect a whole industry or company very easily and rapidly.

EEPROM

The AT24C01A/02/04/08/16 provides 1024/2048/4096/8192/16384 bits of serial electrically erasable and programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) organized as 128/256/512/1024/2048 words of 8 bits each. The device is optimized for use in many industrial and commercial applications where low-power and low-voltage operation are essential. The AT24C01A/02/04/08/16 is available in space-saving 8-lead PDIP,8-lead JEDEC SOIC, 8-lead MAP, 5-lead SOT23 (AT24C01A/AT24C02/AT24C04), 8-lead TSSOP and 8-ball dBGA2 packages and is accessed via a 2-wire serial interface.

MT8870C/MT8870C:

The MT8870D/MT8870D-1 is a complete DTMF receiver integrating both the bandsplit filter and digital decoder functions. The filter section uses switched capacitor techniques for high and low group filters; the decoder uses digital counting techniques to detect and decode all 16 DTMF tonepairs into a 4-bit code. External component count is minimized by on chip provision of a differential input amplifier, clock oscillator and latched three-state bus interface.

ADVANTAGES:

Highly secure .

Page 11: Major Project Progress Report

Flexible & Reprogrammable .

Less power consumption .

Automatic door closing and opening.

APPLICATIONS

Control access to certain rooms and buildings

Used for security purpose

Cars and other vehicles parking areas

Hotels rooms and VIP guest houses and office premises

Confidential materials and restricted areas

CONCLUSION

Security is a prime concern in our day today life. The system is fully controlled by the 8 bit microcontroller AT89C51 which has EEPROM for program memory. The microcontroller based door locker is an access

control system that allows only authorized persons to access a restricted area. By increasing the DTMF IC range user miles away can also access.

FUTURE SCOPE

Through relay we can connect counter.

Camera can be connected

String can be used as a password
