Create a Class or Group:
Formerly known as Groups, “Classes” is now the dedicated space to engage your students and
keep parents informed. Within your “class”, it is possible to send Notes, Quizzes, Assignments,
Polls, and other resources to your class.
“Groups” is now the dedicated space for Teacher Groups, Professional
Development, and Teacher Training with other teachers.
1. Below the Class or Group heading, click on Create a Class.
2. Enter the credentials for the class: Class Name/Title, grade,
subject area, & keep the privacy settings to “private to
members”.
Invite Students and Parent to join Your Classes:
When students and parents join your Classes, everyone becomes more engaged.
1. Click Invite People within a Class to see the invite code, and
share it with students. Students use this code to create their
Edmodo accounts and automatically join your Class. Do NOT
post the invite code on your blog.
2. Click Invite People within a Class to see the invite code, and
share it with parents. If you are meeting parents in person, such as
at Back to School Night, you can download a handout with the invite code and instructions.
Parents can follow class activities and reinforce your teaching at home.
3. Repeat for all your Classes. The more students and parents who join, the more your students
will learn!
