It’s easy…here’s what you need:

Scissors or craft knife (make sure children are supervised when using cutting tools!)

Glue or tape

Crayons or markers

A box from any variety Betty Crocker® snack bars

Directions:

1. Print out the collection project designs. Sheet B works better on card stock.

2. Have your child color and decorate the designs. If you wish, you can write your name and/or your school’s name on the designs, too.

3. Trim sheet A to fit your box by centering the box on top of the sheet and tracing around it with a pencil. Extend all of the lines to the edge of the paper. Cut off each of the four corner rectangles. Position on box, fold flaps down, and secure with tape or glue. See diagram 1

4. Cut out the dotted-line rectangle on the cover of the box to create a slot to insert Box Tops.

5. Cut out the animals on sheet B cutting only where the small diagrams indicate.

6. Assemble the animals by folding on the dotted lines. Always fold away from the printed side. Use tape or glue to make the paper animals more stable. See diagram 2

7. Tape or glue the animals to the box to create your own spring scene. Collect your Box Tops in this container. When it’s full, you can bring them to your school to be submitted.

Instrucciones:

1. Imprima los diseños del proyecto de recolección. La hoja B funciona mejor con cartulina.

2. Deje que su niño coloree y decore los diseños. Si lo desea, también puede escribir su nombre y/o el nombre de su escuela en los diseños.

3. Recorte la hoja A para que ajuste a su caja, centrando la caja sobre la hoja y trazando una línea alrededor de ella con un lápiz. Extienda todas las líneas hasta el borde del papel. Recorte cada uno de los rectángulos de las esquinas. Coloque la caja con las solapas dobladas hacia abajo y sujétela con cinta o pegamento. Vea el diagrama 1

4. Recorte el rectángulo de línea punteada en la cubierta de la caja para crear una ranura en la que pueda insertar las tapas de caja.

5. Recorte los animales de la hoja B, cortando solamente donde se indica en los diagramas pequeños.6. Doble en las líneas punteadas para ensamblar los animales. Siempre doble la hoja en sentido contrario al lado impreso de la hoja. Use cinta o pegamento para que los animales de papel sean más estables. Vea el diagrama 2 7.

Sugerencia para las ganancias: Haga varios recipientes de este tipo y regálelos a sus amigos y familiares, o llévelos al trabajo. No se olvide de incluir su nombre y el de su escuela en el diseño. Es una manera excelente de recordarles a todos a que recorten las tapas de caja...¡y cuántas más junte, más ganará su escuela!
