FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Take your makeup career to the next level!
London, 26th March 2011
MINK is hosting a Make-up Artist Network (MAN) meeting
on Saturday 26th March. The purpose of this event is to
help makeup artists discover their uniqueness through the
exploration of various careers in make-up artistry, a make-
up demonstration by a leading niche cosmetics brand
and through the sharing of ideas, stories and laughs with
other artists.
The ‘Take your makeup career to the next level’ event will
feature two key speakers, namely: Eryca Freemantle and
Sherryann Dixon, and a demonstration by Cover FX cos-
metics.
Eryca Freemantle is a world famous celebrity make-up
artist that specialises in high fashion, beauty, editorial and
catwalk makeup. Her USP is corrective and paramedic
make up. Eryca is renowned for looking at the psychol-
ogy of make-up, and works with different governments
and establishments worldwide. Eryca an award winning
make-up artist, industry intelligence, brand consultant,
educator, trendsetter, keynote and empowerment
speaker also sits on the board of Panel of Experts for the
London College of Fashion. She is also the global ambas-
sador for the Safe Beauty Association. Eryca will be talking
about the industry has it stands today.
Sherryann Dixon is the former Editor & Beauty Editor for Pride
Magazine in the UK, a beauty educator and a make-up profes-
sional in her own right. Sherryann will provide attendees with use-
ful information about marketing on a small budget, understand-
ing the laws that govern the industry e.g. credit for printed work,
and getting paid fairly for the work that they do.
Cover FX cosmetics will carry-out a demonstration of their criti-
cally acclaimed product range. The demonstration will be car-
ried out by one of the companies CosMedic specialist, Suzy. Suzy
is a brilliant makeup artist, colour specialist and is an experi-
enced educator for CoverFX, particularly when it comes to
makeup for women of colour.
MAN was setup to provide make-up artists with a plethora of re-
sources to help them to develop their make-up careers. We
achieve this by:
putting artists in the same room with cosmetics brands,
producers, directors, models, photographers and cast-
ing agents
providing artists with access to the most up-to-date
make-up resources
motivating and inspiring artists through real life testimo-
nials and advice from leading make-up professionals
listening to issues and feeding this information to the
relevant governing bodies, organisations and cosmet-
ics brands
giving artists the perfect environment for sharing ideas
Take your makeup career to the next level! (page 2)
Before MAN, there was and still is not a networking event specifi-
cally designed for make-up artists, though the gap is much
needed and artists had expressed a desire for such an event.
