India and Egypt both produce a lot of cotton cloth. Both countries also have a lot of workers to pick the cotton and make the cloth. There are machines for picking cotton, but in these countries a lot of work is still done by hand.

However, the cotton cloth from India is quite different from the cotton cloth from Egypt. In India, much of the cotton cloth is very thin. It’s usually brightly colored. Often, Indian cloth is made into tablecloths, colorful clothes, and bedding. Egyptian cotton, on the other hand, is often made into thick towels and shirts.
