Essential Oils Made the Torah Way!

While we love our Organic Distilled Essential Oils, there is a well-kept secret process, an ancient process of making essential oils according to the Torah (Bible) that we also love just as much.

“Moreover G-d spoke unto Moses, saying, Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels, And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin: And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.” Exodus 30:22-25 This technique is most certainly a maceration infusion process and not a distilled oil.

Our Frankincense and Myrrh exclusive Ancient Shemen Process is an infusion made by hand by pressing Frankincense and Myrrh resin with marble stone mortar and pestle crushed between linen cloth. Why Linen? Answer because of healing energy and vibration of linen is amazing it add to the quality of the oil.

We infuse these resins into organic Israeli FCO, or Israeli Golden Jojoba in the sun for full 12 hours covered then we also allow the oil to sit in a full moon from dusk to dawn allow to sit in cool dry dark place for rest of the 50 days. I also make a 120-day infusion for Sukkot.

After sitting for the first 30 days we also set the glass Jar in a full moon on the 15th day of the month for 12 full hours until dawn to collect the energy of the light of the moon then let the jar sit the rest of the 20 days in a cool dry dark place, the infusion is poured into cobalt blue bottles and capped it off.

We do not use Olive Oil in a 50-days process with sitting in the sun because it will cause the Olive Oil shelf life to be shortened and could risk spoiling during the process after being in the warm sun. If we do use Olive oil, we use Olive Oil from Israel only and no sunlight time is applied to warm the oil.

We do not add any essential oil to our patented process. We feel the Resin does not need help in creating its own unique smell. Frankly, this is not a true process of creating ancient essential oils as it would have been made in ancient days. Essential oils by distillation did not exist nor were used in the days of the Holy Temple. Fully Resin Infusions were made by very highly skilled in perfumery known as apothecarist and natural organic medicines.

It has come to my attention that Frankincense contains more Boswellic acid and is NOT present in the distilled frankincense resin oil. Frankincense Boswellic acid is in the raw resin and can be extracted into fat oil. This extracted oil is noted for its anti-inflammation properties and therapeutic qualities. Great for anointing, therapeutic treatments, massage or simply use as a carrier oil.

Frankincense and Myrrh is sources and carefully selected and is resin brought to the Holy Land to be placed in a special Israeli made clay pot to soak up the energy of the Holy Land. We call this” Holy Land Charged” ®™ Oils. In essence we are grounding the resins much when a person like walking barefoot on the bare ground.

We do have Frankincense Growing in Israel but much of the trees are not ready for full harvest. Our Frankincense Resins are choice picked from Oman for Sacra Hajory resins, Oman White Sacra resins, Somalia for Caterii resins, India for Seratta resins, and Ethiopia for Rivae resins. Our Sweet Myrrh is from Somaliland, Ethiopia, Egypt, and Somalia. All the resins we use are purchased from private Organic sustainable resources.

What the numbers mean and why we chose them to Infuse.

Fifty חמישים can be found 154 times in the Bible. Its meaning is directly related to the coming of God’s Holy Spirit. Shavuot occurred on the day

G-d told the Israelites they were to wave a sheaf composed of the first fruits of their harvest (Leviticus 23:9 – 11). It is on this day that the count of 50 days to the Festival of Pentecost begins. Pentecost comes from the Greek word for fiftieth. Yeah I know not very Jewish using Greek but it is a word many nations identify with. In the Hebrew this holiday is called Shavuot or Shavuos or Feasts of Weeks in English. In Hebrew the word chamishshiym, the root word is Chumash the same word for risen bread which also means five that alludes to the five books of Torah.

The Feast of Weeks known as Shavuos or Shavuot in english the seasons’ or Firstfruits, it was on this special Holy Day that G-d first poured his Ruach (Holy Spirit) upon 120 million Jewish people (Am Yisroel) who had gathered to keep the day at the foot of the mountain called Har Sinai.

The number 120 can symbolize a divinely appointed time of waiting. After G-d saw how sinful and dedicated to evil man had become after the garden of Eden, he determined a 120 years period would be given for repentance/tshuvah and then the flood waters would come

(Genesis 6:1 – 3).

The meaning of the number 120 is seen as “Freedom” in its Exodus role when Israel Nation left Egyptian bondage. Scripture states that the Israelites who left Egypt had 600,000 men (Exodus 12:37) when you count the women and children it is said that the total left Egypt was 120 million people.

We start our batch or resin a few hours before Pesach begins known as Passover in English and let it sit for 50 days until it Shavuot ends, thus our first batch of resin oil of the season. After Shavuot we start a new 120 days batch for 120 days that takes us to another important holiday called the festival of Tabernacles or in Hebrew known as Succos/Sukkot.

I knew of no other persons that infused resin these long periods of time and I was first to ever put it in writing and have it officially published in 2003. It is just now catching on and being discovered that the longer the resin sits the stronger it gets.

Twelve Steps How to Make True Ancient Resin Shemen (Oil)

Materials you will need:

2 oz of choice Resins such as Frankincense or Myrrh

(note you can mix two species of Frankincense if you like but do not mis with myrrh more explained below)

16 oz NEW mason jar sterile and cleaned

Choice carrier oil that has a long shelf life such as Fractionated coconut oil. I like FCO because it is clear and has a shelf life that is almost eternal. Also it would not hurt to add some organic Kosher Vitamin E to preserve Oil longer.

STEPS:

Crush 2 ounces of resin in between a thick linen cloth. The reason I chose linen cloth is because of the vitality and energy of this fabric is quite high. You can choose to crush with mortar and pestle if you like as pictured below. Once the resin is crushed this will release all the aroma molecules trapped in the resin hard exterior.

Place the resin tears in about 2 ounces of resin to 16 oz of carrier oil (preferably not olive oil because it may become rancid sitting in the hot sun). Do not put frankincense and myrrh together simply because Myrrh is quite strong and can overtake a batch and can make the whole batch smell very bitter.

Start your second resin such as myrrh the same as steps1 and 2

Let both jars sit in the sun for a full day (12 hours of sunlight/daylight) covered, then allow it to sit in cool dry dark place for 30 days. You can also simply place the jar on a sunlit window sill.

After sitting for the first 30 days set the glass Jars in a full moon on the 15th day of the month from evening until dawn to collect the energy of the light of the moon then let the jar sit the rest of the 19 days in a cool dry dark place. You can also place the jar on a moonlit window sill.

Make sure you are checking the batch daily by shaking. Look at the color closely it is look rich and somewhat clear when resin settle to the bottom of the jar. If it is you know the batch is going well. If you start to see floating cloud worm looking thing in the batch it means the batch may have gotten water in it and batch has gone bad. This means you will need to throw it out and start over.

So far, the batches are going great so you are at the crucial step of the smell test. On the last week of sitting you may open the jars only once in that week and do a smell test. Make sure both are not bitter or rancid in smell Both should slightly sweet with spicy notes. Myrrh has a natural bitterness but sweet spicy notes also. If the batch is smelling great then you can proceed onto next step.

Strain the jars into cotton organic cheese cloth. I prefer organic linen muslin cloth. The reason is the energy of this cloth is incredible. After straining do not throw out the resin spread it out on cloth or paper towel and let dry. After it dry you can crush it down even further and put in your cream and soaps. I believe in wasting these precious resins.

(Revision: It has been found that resin of Frankincense contains high concentrated amounts of Boswellic acid almost 20% in species Carterii, Seratta and Sacra and has many various healing properties. I now have this crushed to a powder and use in many products)

Add some organic Vitamin E oil (not synthetic or non-vegetable base) to both strained batches and shake well. This acts as a preservative and will help your oil last longer.

Mix the two batches together. Half of the Frankincense to a third of Myrrh oil shake well. If you want more myrrh in the Frankincense, please do so slowly.

Smell as you mix. This is extremely important to make sure that you get a well-balanced aroma. You should get two full batches with some of each resin to spare to use in salves and other projects. Keep in mind you can also use as a single oil without mixing both Myrrh and Frankincense batches.

These oils last just as long essential oil and at the same time, they bring with them their own carrier oils that have an amazing shelf life and ready to use. We like to call this our “Mystical Ancient Oil” recipe. Just think this is how it was done in the days of Moses, Aaron, and King David, King Solomon, and the Prophets.

“Zehav Shemen” and The Aroma of Gold Oil

by Efrat Rivka Sari | Sep 12, 2018 | *First Published March 3, 2003 “Mystical Gold Oil”

Here is something I learned just recently. Jewish sages say that if gold had a smell it would smell like Frankincense, Myrrh and Rose. Why?

Answer, Rose is said to open up the veins of the mind and heart. The Hebrew word for rose is ְוִריד and the root word of rose is ד – ר – ו which means vein. When the letter yud י is added it is the first letter of G-d’s Holy Name and so therefore it is G-d who opens the veins of the mind and heart.

Frankincense in Hebrew Levana means white or pure. The root word of Frankincense is ליבנת that means heat or heated. Gold is heated to be purified. Myrrh is the word ֹמר which means bitter but it is also the word for Mr. or Master root.

The master of the Universe causes Gold is heated to be purified so that it opens the Veins of the mind and heart. Finally the word gold is דהב which means to become golden or pure light.

Precious gold was said to be infused into the anointing oil that Moshe (Moses) used for mental, bodily and spiritual purification. In the ancient times of our Jewish history it was believed that gold in the body worked by stimulating the life force (blood cells) and raising the level of vibration on all levels. When smelled by our nose it boosts the brain to focus more clearly.

Gold was use for dentistry by both Egyptians and Israelites alike. It was common to drink Colloidal Gold. Today, medical uses of gold have expanded greatly. It is used in surgery to patch damaged blood vessels, nerves, bones, and membranes.

It is also used in the treatment of several forms of cancer. Injection of microscopic gold pellets helps retard prostate cancer in men. Women with ovarian cancer are treated with colloidal gold, and gold vapor lasers help seek out and destroy cancerous cells without harming their healthy neighbors.

Every day, surgeons use gold instruments to clear coronary arteries, and gold -coated lasers give new life to patients with once inoperable heart conditions and tumors.

Page 11: Making Essential Oil the Torah Way! › wp-content › uploads › 2020 › 05 › Making... · Frankincense and Myrrh is sources and carefully selected and is resin brought to the

Is it not amazing that our Creator appropriately named Gold in Hebrew. Amazing how it is said to smell like Rose, Frankincense and Myrrh.

This beautiful blend is Frankincense, Myrrh, Negev Rose petals and pure real Kosher 24kt gold leaf ( this is Edible gold metal free) infused together to create a lovely serum for skin, to use in a diffuser or wear as a natural perfume.

Other benefits of Gold are the body’s temperature stabilizing mechanism is restored to balance with gold, particularly in cases of chills, hot flashes, and night sweats.

Gold has a balancing and harmonizing effect on all levels of body, mind, and spirit. It is used to improve mental attitude and emotional states. It has been reported to promote a feeling of increased energy, will power, mental focus and libido.

According to many studies, gold increases mental acuity and the ability to concentrate. Gold is thought to strengthen mental function by increasing the conductivity between nerve endings in the body and on the surface of the brain.

Gold is an all-natural mineral that is non-toxic and exhibits no interactions with other drugs, and is easily tolerated by the body.

The fabulous healing properties of gold are slowly but surely being rediscovered, as modern scientists and physicians uncover what the ancient Israelites seem to have known all along: That gold is indeed a very precious metal. Ever wonder why it was used in the building of the Holy Temple?
