Making every drop count.™
Most building and design professionals believe sustainable design is
the right thing to do. Likewise, a majority specify products and materials
that can contribute to sustainable design. From engineered woods to
water-conserving faucets, making the right choices can make a real
difference in protecting valuable natural resources as well as minimizing
any negative effects on the environment.
Making every drop count. As a company that delivers water every day through more than 150
million faucets worldwide, Delta Faucet Company provides products
that address today’s water conservation concerns as well as water purity
and accessibility. These smart water delivery solutions maximize water
efficiency and the life span of the products, without sacrificing the
comfort and convenience of the user experience.
Smart water delivery solutions for sustainable design.
Increasing water efficiency to reduce the water consumption in a home or commercial structure.
Utilizing exclusive waterways that preventwater from coming in contact with potential metal contaminants that can affect water quality and taste.
Longer lasting and manufactured using environmentally friendly processes to preserve and maintain our natural resources.

Efficient
Water conservation as part of LEED® certification.
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green
Building Rating System was developed by the U.S. Green Building
Council (USGBC) to provide a national standard for what constitutes
a “green building”. It is used as a design certification tool for architects
and designers seeking to develop high-performance, sustainable
buildings. As a voluntary certification program, LEED promotes building
designs that are more environmentally responsible, healthier as well
as profitable.
Water efficiency is one of the key areas evaluated in obtaining LEED
building certification. Delta Faucet Company is dedicated to providing
product offerings from water-efficient faucets and showers to electronic
flush valves. Also, Delta Faucet Company was one of the first companies
in the commercial business to go to a standard 1.5 GPM aerator
from 2.2 GPM, resulting in more than a 30% reduction and maximum
LEED credit.
Each water delivery solution that reduces water consumption from
20% to 30% can contribute 1 or 2 points toward LEED certification.
Delta Faucet Company can help you obtain points for new home
construction, commercial buildings, neighborhoods or renovations
of an existing building.
Reducing Our Footprint
Delta Faucet Company Sustainable Commitments:
Delta Faucet Company operates its manufacturing facilities and production
processes with careful consideration for the environment. The Company con-
tinually strives to manufacture high-quality products with as little impact as
possible on the environment.
Each facility recycles water used within their walls–a major step towards water
conservation and setting the standard for other manufacturers within their
respective regions.
In addition, we use a water-based degreaser that eliminates the need for
ozone-depleting chemicals. Delta Faucet Company also recycles scrap brass,
which is eventually used to create new faucets.
In these ways and others, we’re helping to protect our natural world, while
sacrificing nothing in the way of convenience or comfort.
WaterSenseSM†
As a WaterSense partner, Delta Faucet Company is committed to working with the EPA to encourage efficient use of water resources and actively protect the future of our nation’s water supply. WaterSense labeled products use about 20% less water and perform as well or better than their less efficient counterparts. Delta Faucet continues to move towards all of our lavatory faucets meeting WaterSense certification by the end of 2008.
USGBC/LEED®††
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) developed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ to provide a national standard for what constitutes a sustainable building. A total of five points are available for water efficiency for LEED-New Construction. The products highlighted in this brochure can contribute toward points for LEED certification.
NAHBOur products can help builders meet Model Green Home Building Guidelines for water-efficiency in the home as established by the National Association ofHome Builders (NAHB).
Environments for Living® Certified GreenA Masco Corporation initiative, this program combines concepts of building science with a Limited Comfort Guarantee and Limited Heating and Cooling Energy Use Guarantee, to deliver homes that are built to higher, sustainable standards.
Canadian Green Build CouncilCanadian Green Building Council (CaGBC) is the leading national industry organization advancing green building practices for livable communities. The CaGBC represents 1,600 member organizations involved in the design, construction and operation of buildings. The Council implements the LEED® Green Building Rating System in Canada.
