Resurfacing Its not as simple as you might think to produce aesthetically pleasing, long-lasting results. This may sound straightforward

but is well worth mentioning.

Issues with grades, water

problems, tying in with old

surfaces and producing a durable

long lasting inished surface all

require competent people in the

ield. The best work results from

attention to detail and years of

experience. Thomann Asphalt

has been laying new surfaces

for 85 years. We use state-of-

the-art equipment and cutting-

edge compaction technology to

provide you with a quality job at a

Pavement Repairs & Surface Patching

Have a localized problem area in your lot? Depending on the situation,

sometimes a surface patch is all

that is required. Surface repairs

are generally not structural

repairs and normally will not

solve problems where issues

with the subbase have occurred.

These type of repairs can also

cause water problems if not done

correctly. We will evaluate your

case to determine the feasibility of

this type of repair.

Full Depth Replacement Too deep and you’ve paid too much, too shallow and the repair won’t hold up. By adding up to 10 times more life

span than patch work, full-depth

replacement is often a very cost

effective ix for your surface’s

distressed areas. The perimeter is

sawcut and the distressed asphalt

is removed and replaced with new

stone, asphalt or both to provide

enough strength to meet or exceed

your speciic load requirements.

Milling & Pulverizing Grind it down. Build it up. Save a lot. Milling, or grinding as it is

sometimes referred to, removes

built-up layers of deteriorated

asphalt down to a speciic depth,

making room for a new surface.

Pulverizing goes one step further

and reclaims the asphalt by mixing

it with the existing aggregate

base as it grinds, saving the cost

of removal and purchase of new

aggregate. Our years of expertise

will determine the viability of

milling or pulverizing, but when

feasible these processes can save

you considerable overall cost.

Design-BuildStreamline your project by working with one source.Design-build is a construction project delivery system where the

design and construction aspects are contracted with a single entity.

The advantages are enhanced communication, accountability, single

source, and value-based feedback.

In designing your parking lot we are taking full responsibility for quality,

cost and schedule, saving you time and money. Thomann Asphalt has

the experience to design simple parking lot layouts, drainage, grades,

and speciications and will provide these free with our estimate,

assuming an engineer is not required.

Seal Coating Renew your lot, protect your investment, and prevent expensive repairs.Seal coating is a preventive maintenance used to extend pavement life

by protecting it from oxidation. Over time the sun, salt, water and trafic

will cause the asphalt cement in blacktop to wear, making it hard and

brittle. Recommended every two to three years, sealer is also used as

an aesthetic remedy, giving worn asphalt a rejuvenated look.

In order to uphold the highest standards, Thomann Asphalt strictly

adheres to manufacturers’ speciications and advocates quality control.

Sealer must be applied in dry, warm weather, sometimes making

scheduling dificult. With proicient scheduling, we apply over 40,000

gallons of sealer in Western New York each year despite our climate.

We will always work with you to minimize disruption and deal with

unpredictable weather. In addition, our crews always clean your surface

for proper product adhesion and are current on all the latest equipment

and processes to get your job done quickly and eficiently.

Line StripingImprove your image by improving your bottom lines.Crisp, straight, bold lines and accurate well-marked layouts are precision

trades of line striping. A well done striping job improves the appearance

and condition of your parking lot, and can provide a favorable irst

impression that will encourage your visitors to return.

All of our line striping is done in-house, which allows us to begin

immediately after paving or sealer work, reducing your lot’s downtime. By

diligently testing products industry-wide, we can conidently provide the

most durable, longest lasting marking products available on the market.

In addition to brightening existing lines, Thomann can also design a

new system for improved trafic low or to comply with ADA accessibility

made up of asphalt and stone that varies in depth. The recent

trend in governmental oversight of new lots has been to provide

regulations for the coniguration and spacing of parking lots as well

as landscaping, drainage and pollution abatement issues.

We start the process of determining your needs by exploring the

existing and future conditions of the proposed parking lot area.

How much trafic will the lot see? How many parking spaces will

Fine Grading & PavingEnsure a smooth transition.Many projects that Thomann Asphalt takes on begin either at the

subgrade or after the stone is already placed by another contractor.

Depending on your needs, we will either install the stone and ine

grade or just ine grade and set the stone before paving. Proper

ine grading of the stone sub-base relies on thorough knowledge

of parking lot paving. An improperly graded stone base can result

in an uneven surface course, leading to durability and drainage

Road Widening Roads are often widened to help accommodate growing trafic

demands. This work requires meeting construction demands set forth

by the Department of Transportation.

We stay on track.Recreational surfaces require experience and state-of-the-art

equipment. They have minimum pitch speciications and require

precise grade control to meet tolerances and avoid drainage

complications. Thomann Asphalt uses laser grading equipment

to ensure that the subgrade and stone base are put in exactly to

spec. We then utilize our top-of-the-line paver complete with sonar

and slope control to meet the tolerances required by governing

associations including the International Track and Tennis Court

Association and the NCAA.

In addition to having the right equipment, you must have the
