Introduction
The aim of this unit is to recognise a range of leisure activities and express your preferences for activities during your leisure time.
Learning outcomesThere are three learning outcomes to this unit:

Outcome 1: Understand how to make the best use of leisure time
1.1 Describe the benefits of participating in leisure activitiesWrite an explanation in the space below describing benefits of participating in leisure activities. You must describe a range of activities and the different benefits.
Leisure activities allow me to have self-reflection. They allow me to relax and think about
what a do best. I can improve on my skills. I play video games which improves my hand-eye
coordination and reaction time.
1.2 Describe a range of leisure activities available to you.
Where do you live? Salford
Describe the facilities available in your local area which offer the opportunity to access leisure activities.The Corner Stone which provides different activities including sports, and a park where community activities are usually placed. The Salford Precinct, a shopping centre, a swimming Baths which includes and a cinema at the Lowry.

Outcome 3 – Carry out a review of the activities carried out
3.1 Describe your experience of each activity
a) Relaxing activityXbox, I played it for a few hours. I felt relaxed when playing on it.
b) Challenging activity
Learned to use Reaper software. I now know how to make High Quality sounding recordings and edit them.
c) Learning a new skill Learning about new researching techniques.
