Reclaiming Our World’s Lost Children
2014 Annual Report
Our project partners in Kenya operate an orphanage that was first opened in 2001 to care for AIDS orphans. At that time there was only one small classroom with 13 children. Today the center has grown to an orphanage for 75 abandoned children. These children receive the loving warmth of a household complete with food, medical care, clothing, education and most importantly tender loving care. Many of these children have worked hard to receive scholarships for higher education.

Every year ACF donors make it possible for us to provide emergency feeding programs in a neglected refugee camp, home to over 10,000 Liberian women, abandoned children and victims of extreme poverty. Unable to obtain employment as victims of war, they must try to survive in appalling
poverty. The food we send helps these abandoned families while they struggle to survive.
GhanaHaiti In Haiti our partners have worked
to build a rural local health clinic and cholera center which serves tens of thousands of children and families. Every day infants and children are brought to the clinic where the
volunteers and nurses treat them for severe malnutrition or cholera. It is not a rare occurrence to find a baby left at the front gate in the morning where a mother, having traveled many miles, abandons her dying child as her last resort.
ACF is proud to partner with local government officials, hospitals, clinics and doctors to send urgently needed medication. Every year our ACF donors make it possible for us to send and deliver millions of dollars worth of donated medicine. Our team visited Honduras in 2014 to see first hand how our medical donations are making a difference in the lives of vulnerable, suffering and poor children and families.

One of the most cost efficient and effective ways we have to bring desperately needed relief to the suffering people we serve in poor nations is to take advantage of regulations designed to allow for the delivery of medicine and medical supplies directly to qualified health care professionals.
In 2014, ACF made possible the delivery of over $9,000,000 (wholesale value) worth of medicine to the sick, vulnerable and poor in Honduras. The outpour of thanks we receive from our partners and from these recipients speak of the gratitude for these desperately needed supplies.
These medical shipments to “third world” communities are a vital complement to our children’s homes, schools, and feeding programs.

Tragically Asia has one of the largest sexual traffick-ing problems in the world. Many children are sold or kidnapped into slavery. For some there
is hope after they are able to escape from captivity. However, the transition back to a normal child life is anything but easy. That’s where ACF and our partners come in. Together we are helping to provide not only shelter and food innocent victims, but also an educa-tion and a therapeutic program that can help them return to a normal life over time. With time, these children regain their joy and happiness, it’s a transfor-mation that is priceless.
Philippines With our long existing partner in Mexico, ACF is helping care for over 100 children who have been neglected by their families in one of the most dangerous cities in the world. Just like an answer to prayer these beautiful, young and innocent children were delivered to our orphanage, a place of protection, healing and even, an education. In 2014, thanks to our ACF donors, we were able to purchase over 100 new mattresses and bed frames for these beautiful children.

Our work in Zambia provides support to a clinic that specializes in caring for abandoned babies. Many times the babies are near death when they reach our partner’s door. Fortunately, these babies are now getting the treatment they need to survive.
Zambia Uganda Our Ugandan project focuses on rescuing abandoned children from the misery of living alone on the streets of Kampala. These children have been abandoned with no other place to go. With your support we have helped build a loving home where 60 children live in as a family and enjoy the love of a family life and an education!
