» Staff Policy

The demands and the nature of the program being produced are becoming more complex

There is a need to review the staff benefits to include life insurance and pensions

There is still a need to purchase new equipment in order to increase demands

Some staff feel intimidated by their managers

There is need to improve the management system, particularly the process of staff delegation, job description and work arrangements

OPPORTUNITIES THREATS

The government recognizes that NGOs are partners in development

There is opportunity to facilitate public debate on the changing roles of men and women in Cambodian society.

Donors’ development agendas are compatible with WMC's mission

Upcoming Khmer Rouge tribunal is an opportunity for WMC to be involved in a major event in the country

Because of WMC’s rising popularity, political parties may try to influence or pressure WMC to support them.

The general public still have limited ability to understand issues confronting Cambodian society at present

Partner institutions take a long time to agree and approve programs and funding

Unavailability of spare parts for radio equipment in local market.
