ProElina managing plant informationProElina is a powerful tool for engineering data, forming an essential part of Pöyry’s Virtual Mill concept.

EnginEEring in all phasEs of a plant’s lifE-cyclE• Engineering - In projects from pre-engineering to as-built phase - Maintenance and operations improvement projects in an operating plant• Procurement - Procurement specifications, progress reports, commissioning, … - Integration with other plant IT systems• Operation - ProElina stores functional and technical information on processes, equipment and operation. This information can be easily accessed via WebPub - Operators can also call up this information directly on the DCS screen• Maintenance - ProElina is used to update the functional and technical mill model - The technical information can be transferred or linked to the maintenance management (MMS) and ERP systems

Pöyry’s Virtual Mill concept offers a solution for mana-ging a plant’s technical information and ProElina is the ideal engineering tool for this. ProElina is used to create and update mechanical, process, electrical, instrument and automation engineering information within the Virtual Mill database.

ProElina can be efficiently used for remote and distributed engineering because of the database model with data entered and main-tained in one place only. ProElina integrates the different design disciplines by identifying the various plant objects and their relation-ships as well as their technical data. Utilising libraries and templates, and integrating with other plant information and maintenance (ERP) management systems, ProElina ensures the efficiency and integrity of engineering and information during the whole life-cycle of the plant.

Drawings, lists and other technical documents are automatically produced from ProElina ensuring good-quality technical documenta-tion. Other documentation, such as supplier manuals, are linked to the objects in ProElina. The information and documents are viewed via a web interface, WebPub.

Mill data ModEl• ProElina features integrated engineering

standards, templates, libraries etc. to ensure efficiency and consistent quality of engineer-ing.

• The plant model contains information on process equipment, tanks, agitators, pumps, piping and valves.

• Defined technical data, such as capacities, sizes, power requirements and piping connections, and operational data, including flow media, flow rates, pressures and consistencies.

• Detailed electrical, instrument and automa-tion engineering data, for example compo-nents, cabling, signals and connections are created and maintained with ProElina.

• Documents such as process flow diagrams are linked directly to the ProElina data base, ensuring consistent information in all documents.
