Industry Mutual Hold Harmless Scheme (IMHH)
• Established in 2002 to streamline contractual arrangements across the O&G sector and reduce costs.
• Offshore operations on the UK Continental shelf
• A contractual relationship between contractors in which they will hold one another ''harmless'' with respect to staff, property and consequential - or indirect - losses or damages.
• In the event of an accident or damage to property each company will be responsible for its own, avoiding complex litigation procedures involving claims and counter-claims
• Successful claims will be directly paid by their company's own insurers thereby speeding up the process.

Insurance Thoughts
•
• Most policies are aviation policies amended to the UAS market
• Some policies are ad-hoc with restrictive covenants on platform numbers, hours flown per month etc
• Renewals can be protracted as underwriters flood clients with requests for
• Platforms - type, value, serial numbers, location
• Sensors - type, value, serial numbers, location
• Spares/batteries/propellers/ battery chargers - type, value, serial numbers, location
• Remote Pilot CVs & Competency Records
• Estimated No of tasks per year, average duration, number of PAX deployed
• Opportunity for specialist UAS insurance, suggest by segment
• Inspection
• Surveying
• Filming/photography?
There is a need for specialist UAS insurance and underwriters who understand the market
