The 1% annual chance flood (100-year flood), also known as the base flood, is the floodthat has a 1% chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year. The BaseFlood Elevation is the water-surface elevation of the 1% annual chance flood.

Base map orthophotography obtained from Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) from one−foot resolution digital orthoimagery flown in 2008 and 2009. Vector base map data was provided by Manatee County and SWFWMD. Vector information was compiled in 2003−2009 by Manatee County GIS department.

This map reflects more detailed and up− to− date stream channel configurationsthan those shown on the previous FIRM for this jurisdiction. The floodplainsand floodways that were transferred from the previous FIRM may have beenadjusted to conform to these new stream channel configurations.
