*Formerly known as the Tata Administrative Service, TAS was conceived by JRD Tata, the late chairman of the Tata group, in the

1950s. His dream was to select and groom some of the best young Indians, provide them opportunities for professional growth,

and use that pool of talent as a group resource, one that could be tapped by companies across the Tata organization. TAS,

essentially a training program, is perhaps the only employment brand in Indian business that consciously recruits for lifelong

mobility, across companies, industries and functions, in order to impart that macro view of business which is critical in preparing

young professionals for general management.

PHASE DETAILS DEADLINES

Phase 1

Round 1(Screening)

Each Participant is required to submit a 4 slide power point deck on the following:

a) Assume that the CEO of a large Indian Conglomerate has posed the following

question to you: Indian conglomerates are increasingly nurturing global

ambitions, symbolized by recent acquisitions, international partnerships and

focus on new geographies. How can my company achieve the status of a global

brand?

You may work out details for TATA group or any Indian conglomerate of your choice.

There are no additional points for submissions on TATA Group. Use the 5th slide to

talk about yourself. Your presentation need not be limited to textual content.Submission details

Power-point deck ( .pdf), 5 slides excluding title slide.

(1 cover slide + 4 solution slides + 1 slide about yourself)

small case study to solve.

The top 18 candidates, selected on the basis of Phase 1 Round 2

results, will be invited to the IIM Lucknow campus for Phase 2 (a set

of challenging elimination contests spread over 3 days from 20 to

22 January, 2012). The last man standing will be crowned Zeus.

Winner and runner -up to receive shortlist in TAS selection process held at your campus. Note that this is

subject to TAS visiting your campus in the year of your placement.

Participation open to post graduate students of MBA / PGDM programs. However, students of other

post-graduate and doctoral programs in management MAY ALSO apply but TAS shortlist will NOT be applicable

to them.
