SIMPLE TRUTHS

Quantum Reality

The universe goes on and on, worlds upon worlds, forever. Time is energy breathing, space into matter, matter into space.

Simultaneous existence inspires connectedness, instantaneous and eternal.Beings in the universe are bonded instantaneously across space and time.

What befalls one befalls the many. What befalls the many befalls one.Nothingness shall remain hidden forever.

Love

On a good day a person will live forever, but without love people willdestroy the earth. Without love there can be no harmony, no charity, nocommitment, no caring, no empathy, no courage, no true faith. Love is the rootof all things of high value. Without love civilization will cease to exist. Lovecrosses all boundaries; familial, cultural, religious. Love of the Divine isbasic to religious faith, at the heart of understanding between diverse peoples.Love rules supremely. Hatred born of misunderstanding, retribution,intolerance and fear is in opposition to love. Violence perpetuated by zealousbelief is in opposition to love. Violence perpetrated in the name of the Divine isself righteous ignorance.

War

War is the destruction of humanity. A war of aggression is defenseless.The dedication of finite resources to waging war undermines solvency ofnations and corrupts civil governance irrevocably. War is an endlessconflagration leading to the mutual destruction of aggressor and defender inany conflict. The tendency toward war is the tendency toward the annihilationof civilization. The choice is simple; War or Life.

Economic Oppression

Free market economic theory is a phantasm. Engineered economicstructures trend toward the tyrannical. Imposition of engineered economicstructures on independent geopolitical entities leads to violent oppression;social, political, cultural, and physical. The imposition of global free marketengineered economic policy interferes with spiritual, moral and geopoliticalsovereignty. Monetized political thinking is the primary tensor in the creationof open warfare in technologically advancing societies. The dominance ofeconomic thought and policy in local, regional and world affairs leadsdirectly to insecurity and unrest. The predominance of economic policy overevery other concern assures conflict and destroys spiritual unity amongpeople, leading to corruption, violence, and disease. One of the greatestchallenges facing the new world is overcoming the domination of monetizedthought. As long as immaterial assumptions created by a mirage of authorityrule the minds of men, money will remain the root cause of enslavement anddestruction world wide.

Freedom

A new generation is enslaved by the ignorance of the old; still, freedomcan be realized by people in cooperation, breaking the bondage betweengenerations. Human rights flow naturally from respect and cooperation andcan be protected by covenants enshrining these rights as fundamental, centralto law and political understanding. Tenets of understanding must respect thefreedoms of the living and the rights of the unborn. Any agreement,association, doctrine, agency, law, federation, or nation which fails to protecthuman rights as essential and irrevocable must be reformed. Leadership hasthis responsibility; to protect freedom through the generations. A failure tonurture life begets enslavement corrupting nations and guaranteeing culturaloblivion for all races on earth. a failure to protect life ends in the genocideof the unborn, annihilation of the living and the destruction of freedom byforce.

2.STEWARDSHIP

Ecology

Renewal is a necessity of the living. No nation on Earth will survivewithout renewal; spiritual, cultural, political and physical. A floweringcivilization creates and re-creates places of physical resiliency and spiritualsolitude. No one can be free of the moral imperative to care for the earth andall its inhabitants. Environmental Renewal as a moral imperative includesactive stewardship of natural ecosystems as well as manufactured structures.The embrace of environmental renewal presents an evolutionary and spiritualadvancement for humanity. A failure to act collectively will end in culturaland spiritual suicide. The end of modern civilization through war, pestilenceand famine is made certain by environmental calamity; this is armageddonmanifest.

Toxicity

The proliferation of toxic materials on the face of the earth leads todeclining health of all beneficial life forms. Genetic morbidity and thebreakdown of natural biological defense mechanisms results in extinctionthrough regeneration. Without conscious intervention and dedicated action tomitigate the negative impacts of toxicity an irreversible state of entropy maydevelop, ultimately wiping out modern civilization. Death and disease are onlya portion of entropic decline. Persistent loss and spiritual frigidity result ina callous and brutal outlook, sealing the fate of the living and the future ofthe unborn; love and goodwill disappear in the cascade toward oblivion.Barrenness would be a tragic outcome for life, indeed. Future intergalacticexplorers may search for higher life forms on planet Earth and find none:this is the natural law of entropy applied to biologic systems.

Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing

Good farmers, Foresters and Fisherfolk are shepherds of the earth.Farmers and fisherfolk are like saints; they provide the sustenance for thebody without which the spirit would have no home. The farmer and forester arethe guardians of Earth's green mantle; the shepherding of carbon their legacy,from the sky above to the core below. A good forester is close to the miner anda friend of the magician. What the miner has the grower needs, yet this must betransformed through the magic of biology in precious soil. The fisherman'scatch heralds the future of civilization in bounty or decline, all in preciouswater. The good shepherd keeps one eye on the flock and one eye on the sky.Renewal is their mission and prosperity their reward.

Technology

Technological advancement for the betterment of humanity, the renewalof the environment, the appreciation of the living, and an understanding of theuniverse is inherently worthy. Technology dedicated to the sustainableadvancement of an egalitarian society is the highest good of applied science,whereas technology dedicated to mechanized destruction, to perfection ofweaponry and systems for their delivery, is a mortal threat. The unfetteredadvancement of weaponized technology promotes the destruction of all lifeand the annihilation of the natural world through violence.

Education

A truly educated public can rule its own destiny, can delve into events ofthe past, can understand the present, can decide its own future. While trueeducation is the fountain of democracy, beware the miseducated fools. Amiseducated man is another man's stooge. A miseducated woman mimes the idiot,is controlled by men to boot. Tyrants and greedy businessmen lovemiseducated fools. The miseducated are easily manipulated, readily deceived,can be herded about like cattle; they become beasts of burden, doing all theheavy lifting without fair compensation. A fool digs his own grave, climbs intoit and shoots himself dead.

Energy

Conservation of energy is a physical law rarely respected and seldomunderstood. The wasteful consumption of kinetic energy and the failure torecognize the unlimited availability of energy potential are crimes against theliving and an injustice to the unborn: the commercialization of energy is atechnological vehicle of tyranny. Energy is as abundant as time.Technological liberty and educated discipline are necessary to save humanityfrom the limitation of energy generation and the wasteful use of itsabundance.

Arbitration

If a judge is a loyal lawyer, Judgement is a captive. Lawyers aremercenary guns at law; they may fight for any side. A lawyer-judge can neverremain impartial; his past is close behind. Lawyer-judges either defend thestatus quo in common law or advocate for reform in activism. Lawyer-judgesare law makers rather than arbiters of true justice. Citizens give up theirfreedom if they enter the court room of a lawyer-judge. A society whosejudicial system is controlled by lawyer-judges and lawyer-politicians will loseall freedoms eventually. Neither lawyers, lawyer-politicians nor lawyerjudges can act on behalf of citizens if they place any value above thefundamental tenets of Life and Liberty, Goodwill and Love. True arbiters ofjustice may be found in Citizens Councils, for there is great wisdom in lifeexperience. Freed of the dictates and corrupting influence of professionallawyers, a council of men and women have the freedom to arbitrate on behalfof humanity. But, look sharp! blood for blood is a man's game: women must playan equal role as men in matters of judgement or chaos will rule. Civilsocieties and religious orders which defile women or render them mereservants have lost respect for women, mothers and children altogether. Thecoming of age which recognizes women as equal to men will be an age of justiceand prosperity.

Civility

A land barren of civility is a land in conflict; no peace will reign there.Kind words thoughtfully spoken are the cornerstones of civility. Withoutkindness and compassion savagery rules. The tone and tenor of a word exists inthe physical world and influences its shape through intention. Harsh wordsthoughtlessly spoken, words spoken with hatred and malice, cruel words, falsewords, fighting words, these are like explosive devices detonated in a crowdedmarket place. Harsh words shatter the order and harmonic resonance ofpeaceful interaction among people. Incivility breeds fear. Fear kills generosity.A lack of civility among people is the curse of death, the manifestation of thedestruction of the spirit; war is close behind. Seasons of conflict without endfollow incivility like the plague.

5.

Crime

Injustice is a disease in the body politic. Individuals perpetuatinginjustice are pathogens, parasites. But for an active immunity in the bodypolitic the society would perish. Time is short for a society where injusticeand crime is endemic. A country which regularly imprisons its citizens,routinely carries out capital punishment and suspends basic civil rights, all inthe name of security, becomes a mortal threat to itself and to others.Supplanting justice with confinement and forced labor is a symptom of greatillness at large. Punishment against individuals will never correct a societyimbalanced and weakened by endemic disease and structural failures in civilinstitutions. Sadly, crimes against humanity are perpetuated by a righteouspeople in the name of security through the corruption of peaceful institutionsand the weaponization of technology. Every manner of evil follows theapathetic acceptance of the vicious. The true corrupting influences in anegalitarian society are the injustices which destroy peaceful living; militarism,corporatization of governance, commercialization of personhood, economicexploitation, environmental degradation, imprisonment, racism, sexism, and massmedia deception. Only a complete restructuring of the basic institutionsgoverning a people and a return to healthy standards of living for all people,regardless of race and social station, will guarantee a fair and just society.The institutionalization and protection of corruption are anathema to civilsociety. The persistence of pathogens in the body politic leads to cultural andpolitical ruination. Chaos results.

Conflict of Interest

The dominance of monetized thought in lawmaking and governance createsan unavoidable and irrevocable conflict of interest: on the one handlawmakers swear an oath of allegiance to national principals of Justice,Tranquility, Welfare and the Blessings of Liberty: On the other handmonetized thought constrains legislative decisions which uphold theseprincipals in practice. If lawmakers act according to their sworn duty theywill be slaughtered by the dominant forces of monetized thought in the statusquo. If lawmakers act in the interest of self preservation they betray theprincipals they swore to uphold. Conflict of interest is fatal to goodgovernance. In protecting monetized interest the nation is sacrificed.

Malice and Inequity

Malice follows inequity like a curse. The ruck rue their lack of wealth.The rich blame the poor for their poverty and their malice. Simplicity andbalance save the rich and poor from each other. A society controlled by aneconomic system which encourages the amassing of wealth will ultimately bedestroyed by malice.

4.Commerce

Scale

Due proportion is necessary in scaling free enterprise within the civilcollective. Structural imbalances undermine both free enterprise and civilsociety. Disproportion and imbalance in free enterprise leads to a monopolisticmonetized economy both stratified and brutal. Forces of monopoly andcorruption undermine an unrestrained market as sure as water flows downhill;predatory instincts rule, true law and order disappear. Collective businessinterests undermine democratic institutions through the corporatecollectivist influence on governance and the marketing of monetized thoughtat large; the resulting loss of democratic institutions is fatal to a healthysocial democracy. An unregulated market is suicidal, yet, the complete loss offree enterprise stifles innovation, curbs incentive, and quells fountains ofcreativity vital to an evolving and healthy society. Proportion and balance infinance is fundamental to appropriate scale in commerce. Disproportionateeconomic debt, private or sovereign, is a corrupting distortion of true economicvalue. Monetized compounded interest on debt renders a legal tenderirrevocably distorted by devaluation and loss, as a currency entirelyworthless. Both debt and monetized interest on debt are primary vectors ofimbalance within economies of scale and are anathema to Freedom, Liberty,Welfare and Justice. Distortions in economies of scale brought about byprivate contract or sovereign obligation are negative tensors to positivechange in an evolutionary universe; Devolution results.

Technological Capitalism

Technological Capitalism is a vector driven by technological advancementand economic profit without the constraint of morality. Amoral technologicalprofit stupefies the masses through consumed technology; such a societyspreads its influence throughout the world in search of new markets and newresources, leaving destruction in its wake. Cultural oblivion is a result ofTechnological Capitalism, militarism a product of its recklessness. The morereckless and dominant Technological Capitalism becomes the more resourcesare dedicated to technology and military pursuits. In a world of finiteresources the tendency toward military aggrandizement leads to annihilationthrough resource competition. If a majority of global resources becomededicated to consumed technology, security, defense, and militarism, the end iscertain.

7.

Corporate Communism

Corporate Communism is a vector running parallel with, or in directopposition to Technological Capitalism; the end is one and the same, total andcomplete destruction of the world through violence. Whereas the individual isenslaved by the machine in the technological capitalist society, individualidentity is entirely forfeit to the corporate communist; in both systemsindividual welfare and the Common Good are supplanted by economic rule. Incompeting constructs the Techno-Capitalist and the Corporate-Communistsacrifice the Common Good at the altar of market control; their profit is theircreed, their protection an industrialized military.

Evolution and Devolution

Change is a certainty. Absolute change is absolutely irrevocable.Positive change is necessary for the positive evolution of mankind. Negativechange, being irrevocable, represents a devolving condition with a trajectorytoward extinction. Just as optimum conditions exist for optimum outcomes, sodo optimum conditions exist for annihilation. Modern civilization will shape itsown destiny through global interaction. Modern technology guarantees theability to create global trends; if the tendency is toward annihilation this maybe irreversible, if the trend is toward extinction, humanity will have committedmass suicide. Positive evolutionary conscience is within the grasp of everygeneration. Nothing shall remain hidden forever.

5.The Common Good

Personal Liberty

Ideology which promotes unfettered personal Liberty without regard tothe Welfare of the whole is destructive. No man is the center of the universe.Self righteous pursuit of happiness is a sign of moral and spiritual infancy.Whereas the only code of the selfish is aggrandizement and improvement ofstation in life, the community-minded includes others in their estimation ofworth. A nation built on a true adherence to the Common Good will be a strongnation and peaceful. Belligerence and intransigence, militarism andexploitation, these have no place in a nation which upholds the Common Good.A truthful nation has few enemies and many allies. The ideologue who usesfreedom and liberty as a basis for selfishness ends in a col de sac, theirreasoning flawed, their motives dishonest. A nation of selfish people willcease to function. Selfishness is easily exploited for purposes of financialgain and political manipulation. Eugenicists and supremacists encouragemilitarism through psychological warfare; hatred and violence are seeded intoa selfish people through deception and division, breeding conflict. Anindependent nation once deceived and so divided must be peacefullyresurrected lest it be devoured by brutality.

Public and Private Works

Private investment and balanced free enterprise are necessary andeffective vehicles for assuring peace and prosperity in the private sector; atthe same time, healthy, timely and necessary public works guarantee a wellfunctioning society. Public works foster an understanding of the practicalmechanisms of society and keep the public engaged in its collective future.Public works are intergenerational. A failure of public works is a hallmarkof a failing nation. Repeated and consistent diversion of public resources tothe private sector producing little or no lasting public benefit will bankrupt anation and leave its public works infrastructures in ruin. Militarism, economicinjustice, profiteering, social stratification and corruption contribute topublic works failures and political stagnation. When private investment andfree enterprise overwhelm the necessary and effective delivery of publicworks those private interests which monopolize investment must be curtailed.A Government which aligns itself too closely with unfettered privateenterprise undermines both the inherent efficiency of public works and agovernment's loyalty to its people. By bankrupting necessary public works thebasic needs of a well functioning society will be abandoned. A failure touphold public works initiatives by one generation leads to the economic andpolitical collapse of the next.

9.

Private Contract

No contract is above the Social Contract. Economic rules which protectprivate enterprise from responsibility for liabilities created at large areanathema to the Common Good. Mega-corporations are legal miasmas, seeminglyomnipresent and immortal but invisible to the naked eye. To ensure balancebetween the world of the living and the noble gas of the corporate boardroom,business interests aspiring to legal personhood must be subjected to theresponsibilities of the living; their charters demonstrating a measurableBenefit to society or their charters dissolved. Reparation, reform orpunishment is the inevitable consequence of intransigence. Good Businesswill serve the Common Good or neither will exist.

6.Geopolitical Thought

The Radical Conservative

A conservatism which leads to regressive and inhumane acts is suicidal. Aconservative who believes in a natural immunity to the suffering of others isin abject denial. Quantum Reality guarantees connectedness. Finite livingsystems are dependent on internal resources for survival; perpetual conflictwithin a finite system will irrevocably weaken and corrupt. Conservativethought which accepts inhumane and demoralizing treatment of others aspolitical necessity condemns the race to failure. The dominance of radicalconservative thought in society is accompanied by the imprisonment,confinement or elimination of competing interests through subterfuge andforce. The objective of conformity via suppression and confinement presents aspiritual and practical dilemma which threatens the entirety: the choice is tokill or be killed, the outcome one and the same. Cultural and spiritualannihilation is the natural end of extreme political conservatism. Genocidenips at the heels of a radical conservative like a royal hell hound.

The Radical Liberal

Liberal philosophy at its core is an overriding concern for humanity, butin the abstract. A belief in self-righteous entitlement pervades Liberalthought. Liberal entitlement is bestowed on oneself and those considered lessfortunate through a moral sense of Liberty and an ethical code of charity, yetan effective understanding of humanity is informed by practical realism and aprofound respect for basic human nature, which the radical Liberal mustsuppress in striving for perfection. Institutionalized Liberal charity runs tothe same end as Conservative conformity, destroying the society for the sameand different reasons. Adherence to an institutional system of charitycompetes with vital resources sustaining the whole, a competition which leadsultimately to the choice; abandon the wards of charity or join their ranks.Abandonment is the natural end of Liberal philosophy in global free marketcapitalism. Applied Liberal economics is geo-political genocide by attrition, andradical action in its own right.

Conservative and Liberal Conflict

Liberal and conservative extremists are guilty of paternalistic moralismand racial bigotry. Neither Conservative political ideology nor Liberalpolitical philosophy ensures the prosperity of nations. Both radicalconservatism and radical liberalism result in extreme depravation on the onehand and excessive consumption on the other; death is the product of both.Conservative political adherence to unrestrained free enterprise ignores thenecessity of the general Welfare. Liberal political adherence to global freemarket dominance ignores the downside of the controlled massing of resourcesto support industrialization and the military costs to secure them. BothConservative ideology and Liberal philosophy are failures in practice. For thesame reason the Conservative excludes the welfare of the individual in pursuitof wealth, the Liberal distorts the Common Good in the name of entitlementwhile seeking wealth attainment at all costs. Unrestrained market championsdeny the inevitability that for every competitive winner there exists adisenfranchised loser, and the bigger the winner the more losers there are;extinction is their prize.

Conflict Resolution

The resolution to global conflict created by the radical Conservativeand radical Liberal is through the reform or abandonment of an economicsystem which immortalizes a baseless and artificial currency manipulated toamass in the hands of the very few. The resolution of the deadly conflictbetween the radical liberal and the radical conservative embraces anunderstanding of individual worth as a microcosm of the value of the whole.The verification of a broadly inclusive economic system within a multi-generational framework - rather than an arbitrary and speculative momentaryworth basis - leads to Liberty and Welfare at the same time. The simultaneousrecognition of the inherent value of all life coupled with the measurablequantity of need - rather than the immeasurable philosophy of desire, and thenecessity of dominance to sustain it - resolves automatically the inherentconflict between Liberal and Conservative thought in political action. To avoidthe holocaust of the radical Conservative and the radical Liberal a massiverestructuring of the economic leviathan must take place through non-violentmeans. The purpose and method of restructuring the global economic systemis to establish a new beginning, free of the tyranny of crushing debt; the wordis JUBILEE.

7.JUBILEE

The idea of forgiveness is compatible with spiritual faith. The absence offorgiveness in economic systems is the basis of a dehumanizing force inmonetary wealth. Economic exploitation and subservience is otherwise criminalconduct legitimized by political law. Institutional vehicles of suffering,whether they be prisons or banks, serve to perpetuate and codify deadlyinjustice in the name of free will. Subjugation within the monetary system isno better than subjugation through forced servitude and slavery; both arecrimes against humanity. Whereas corporal enslavement may be extinguishedthrough severing the bonds of slavery, monetary enslavement can only beextinguished through the intervention of law. Outright debt forgiveness is atthe core of economic justice and a requisite for the survival of the human race.JUBILEE is the word.

Emancipation

JUBILEE is emancipation from economic slavery; neither a condemnation ofwealth nor a celebration of its virtue. JUBILEE is the correction of greed.Just as royalty periodically celebrates an illustrious reign, so should thepeople celebrate freedom from economic bondage. Surely, the JUBILEE offorgiveness will never be attained without resistance; the entrenchedeconomic cabal will raise a calamitous hue and cry as it mobilizes to defeatuniversal solvency. The usurious profiteers whose vested interests underminethe liberties of individuals and the Sovereignty of nations reinforceinternational agreements protecting financiers, banking institutions andinstruments of debt amidst dire predictions and solemn warnings of economiccollapse and international instability. Financiers frame a choice betweeninflation and economic austerity, but their motives are selfish; both areproducts of their own creation. The correct path is emancipation. Because debthas been freely traded, bought and sold as chattel, instruments of debt willbe protected by extreme measures. As harbingers of freedom and solvency, debtabolitionists are brutally oppressed by slave owners and slave traders alike;talk of terror, treason and secession circulate on all sides. Such is thenature of the struggle for freedom; those in power work to retain power,those seeking freedom work to overthrow. Only a peaceful revolution willproduce peaceful results. Only truth spoken to power with mighty resolvedelivers truth and love to the people. Justice without truth is a sham.Revolution without love is murderous. The precept of JUBILEE must beaccompanied by the willingness of people to move out of bondage together. AnExodus from the shackles of economic subjugation frees the slave and theslave holder alike; they are freed from each other. JUBILEE in its fullpotential is a complete, if not voluntary, world wide debt forgivenesssovereign and private; a true clean slate. JUBILEE on a world wide scalepresents a positive evolutionary step for humanity.

8.Living

Prosperity

Simplicity is the cornerstone of prosperity. Confounding complexitybreeds contempt and sadness. The simple life is a rich life. Life lived insimplicity leaves breathing room for sharing, for taking the time to love, forhelping and for giving. People living in simplicity have few complex needs; theycan survive with less energy and be prosperous, they are resilient in hardtimes, they are both practical and industrious. The rewards of the simple lifeextend from family to family. People living in simplicity will readily find truthgreat and small. Those seeking life eternal will find it in simplicity.

Poverty

Poverty is vicious complexity that no complexity will solve. In a nationcorrupted by poverty a narrow margin divides life and death for both theimpoverished and the impoverisher. Poverty of the spirit is a close companionof the extremely rich and the abject poor alike; yet, in truly solving the vexingcomplexities of survival both the wealthy and the impoverished have attainedthe enlightenment afforded to those who understand the simple necessities ofliving, but their understanding is not equal. Affluence has no understandingof poverty. The designs of the rich for relieving the suffering of the poorlack verity; their charity is like offering water to a drowning man, itperpetuates the suffering with insult. The institutions of an iniquitous andstratified society can do little to alleviate the suffering of the poor throughcharity; the stipend, food, clothing, shelter, healthcare and education becomeobjects of subservience and tools of perpetual subjugation. Engineeredcharity institutionalizes vicious complexity; love cannot be engineered. Asociety which breeds economic complexity and hardship must be completelyrestructured; simplicity is no half measure. The answer to abject poverty isequal sufficiency for the rich and poor alike; simplicity saves them from eachother. A self sufficiency built on the foundation of love is a hallmark of ahealthy society; independence can only be achieved through its practice.Involuntary dependency breeds contempt, violence and death. Involuntarydependency is a destroyer of wealth and the ruination of nations. Selfreliance breeds mutual respect and equality; love and understanding closelyfollow. Simplicity is the key to prosperity.

Health

Physical health is built from the soil, from the water, from theatmosphere. Physical health is closely associated with spiritual well-being.Without biologically rich and mineralized soils, clean water, clean air andstabile growing conditions, there can be no health. Without physical healthand spiritual well-being there can be no security. Disease is an imbalance, ashortage of vital force, a deficiency of healthy biologic systems. The healerwill bear witness to detrimental forces acting on the body and the spirit.Those who have taken an oath to do no harm must bring to light the hiddentruths underlying disease; that which interferes with healthy biologic systemsand compromises the integrity of natural molecular processes will destroy thehealth of the individual, will wither the body and degrade the mind. A societywhich produces disease and spiritual unrest would do well to re-examine itscollective values and beliefs. Private enterprise which profits from illness orcreates instability is caught in a bind. A fine line exists between the healthprofiteer and the manufacturer of instability; both threaten the health,security and solvency of nations.

9.Vocation

WorksWork must be done: fruitful labor produces a flowering society.

Dependency and subservience are the children of the idle. The provision ofenergy, food, clothing, shelter, transport, communication, health, education,exploration, entertainment, art, restoration, structure, security, andmanagement require skilled and diligent work. Justice recognizes the inherentvalue of labor as it recognizes the inherent value of management; neither canexist without the other. Work discriminates not; not by color, education, raceor gender. Reward for labor must be fair in all respects. An egalitariansociety requires just compensation for all, regardless of kind or stature.True Justice has a visionary understanding of the value of work.

The Trades

The trades are the backbone of society. Strong and vibrant trades are asign of industrial strength and social resiliency. Proficiency in the artisancrafts and the industrial arts is essential to the success of nations. Pride inworkmanship follows proficiency closely. Shoddy workmanship and lazinessare close companions; sloth clothes them both in rags. Vibrant trade and tradeassociations create opportunity within a free country; free enterprise anddomestic industry go hand in hand. A free people are a skilled people; theydetermine their own destiny. A free nation is also a just nation. If a race orclass of people have built the fortunes of others without just compensationthey must be repaid in time; the injustices of the past will haunt the presentlike a curse.

The Teacher

The teacher is close to the divine. A special gift is given the teacher, forevery lesson taught is a lesson learned, every lesson learned is a giftreceived. Instruction is an essential activity in a free society; honesty its firstlesson. The work of instruction requires a special combination of skill andtalent, diligence and kindness. The teacher must be respected, supported andrewarded for all her efforts. A society which abandons its children to thecare and tutelage of others is sure to fail.

The Engineer

Engineering is the rare combination of calculation and creativity. Theengineer must be practical, and careful with their craft. Undiscerningengineers are little better than mercenaries. An engineer will build ordestroy worlds depending on their practice. As a microcosm of the moralstature of society its engineered works will reflect the true soul of thenation. A nation will rise and fall with its engineered works.

The Manager

Management requires great skill in communication and a profoundunderstanding of the workings of enterprise. A good manager will release thefull potential of any undertaking. Intimate knowledge of the tasks and thepeople performing them is essential to good management. A successful manageris a highly skilled operator, an extremely efficient organizer and anexceptionally compassionate individual. From the menial chore to the buildingof nations, good management leads the way.

The Legislator

The future of a society is entrusted to its legislators; lawmaking in thebest interest of the Common Good is their responsibility and craft. Alegislator must come from and return to her community often. No nation willlast long if its legislators are corrupted by influence peddlers. Legislatorsmust not be career-minded for they become beholden to their special interestsrather than the interests of the people they serve. A government controlledby career politicians is like a stone tossed into a pond; it makes a big splash andsinks into the abyss, leaving waves of disturbance radiating out from itsdisappearance in all directions.

The Artist

True art transcends craftsmanship and enters the realm of the divine. Byreaching etherial heights, evoking emotions, stating truths and elicitingbeliefs, the artist is akin to the spiritual leader. Great leaders should lookto the arts as essential and see to the welfare of art as they would thewelfare of science. Without the vision of the creative artist science wouldrisk stumbling into a morass; technically advanced and morally primitive.Visionary artists prepare the world for positive change; they are thetransformative cells of metamorphosis.

The Spiritual Leader

Who can claim kinship with the divine without acknowledging the divinityof the universe? The highest manifestations of the divine must be groundedon earth; beauty and power in the natural world, the immensity of the universe.True spiritual leadership unites all beings in creation. The foundations ofspiritual belief harmonize the global spiritual aspirations; reverence forhigher consciousness, belief in the common good, the practice of prayer.Understandings between people the world over are based on common ideals andmutually beneficial behavior; tolerance, fairness, love and compassion. Whenpolitical ideologies, economic constructs and religious laws become tyrannicalthey work to destroy the spiritual foundations of a global community.Tyranny is in defiance of the divine.

The Financier

The financier must protect the true value of currency; as a vehicle toassist in the enrichment of humanity. Those making it their business tofacilitate the exchange of currency as a catalyst for beneficial commerce andfair trade will live forever in their works. The financier who builds theirfortune by collecting on the labors of the indebted will suffer the fate of theslaver; spiritual annihilation and corporal death, sorrow and guilt overwhelmthe soul as the abyss opens wide.

The Soldier

Perfection in society is never achieved. Wanton destruction, violationsof basic human rights, crime and exploitation, these are the antitheses ofpeaceful living and pervasive in the absence of vigilance. Peacekeeping is therightful duty of the soldier, vigilance the soldiers rightful mission. To be aneffective peacekeeper proficiency at arms is vital. Equally as important as thetactical martial arts is the practice of respectful behavior. To respect and tobe respected, this is the success of proper armed forces training. The soldierwhose training is abusive and reckless is unfit to serve. Nations which subjecttheir soldiers to dehumanizing regiment and abuse create armies of aggressionrather than peacekeepers. Armies of aggression disintegrate into lawlessmilitias and mercenary contractors who themselves become a menace to society,terrorizing the civilian population with every measure of brutality. An armyof aggression will turn on its own people, cannibalizing peaceful institutionsand distorting the common good in the name of law, order and homelandsecurity. An army which attains equal or greater power than civilian authorityhas outlived its usefulness. A society which delegates the greater portion ofits resources to outfitting its military has become a menace to itself and to itsneighbors. No nation dedicating its treasure to armaments in a time of peacecan be considered a peaceful nation. Preparing for war in the name of peace isboth disingenuous and a crime against humanity; the result of modern warfareis chaos, moral degradation and death for both the aggressor and defender.

Catastrophe and Recovery

Calamity spares no one. Extreme flux plagues humanity; atmospheric,oceanic, geologic, subspace, outer space, virtual space, geopolitical, economic,demographic. Industrialization and consolidation of resources in massiveinfrastructures increases exposure to wreckage and compounds losses indisaster; generations of investment are ruined by a single event. Avoidance ofand recovery from calamitous events is wholly and completely dependent onpreparedness. A society that does not prepare for catastrophic relief iscourting disaster.

Basic Skills

Basic skills are necessary for survival. The practical understanding offood, clothing, shelter, communication, mechanics, energy, and health is basicto survival and guarantees self sufficiency. No people will be trulyindependent without knowledge and proficiency in the basic skills. As freedomand independence are rooted together the skill to survive informs Life, Libertyand the Pursuit of Happiness in an industrious, nurturing and righteouspeople. Adaptation comes naturally.

Faith

Even in freedom, no one is completely free. Peace and prosperity come ata great price; responsibility, yet, responsibility alone will assure neither peacenor prosperity, only love can do that. Responsibility may govern correct actionbut faith is the locomotive of true love. Faith bridges the great dividebetween what should be and what will be. Faith is love manifest and thecornerstone of justice. Faith sustains and nurtures the soul; without itfreedom cannot exist. Hope without faith is fruitless and foolish, like waitingfor a train that will never arrive. Hope must be firmly rooted in a rock solidfaith, a faith born of true knowledge and understanding rather than simple-minded belief. Belief can be abusive and reckless. Belief is easily manipulatedor destroyed, not so faith. Faith is built on a deep and patient love. Faith canneither be manipulated nor destroyed. True faith sustains hope and guidesresponsibility to rightful action. Faith is built in the spiritual universe andmanifests in the material world. Faith builds Courage. Faith is the guardian offreedom.
