Andy Puddicombe
Andy starting
studying
meditation at the
age of 11. By the
age of 20 he let
everything go to
become a Buddhist
Monk.
“Most people assume that meditation is all about stopping thoughts, getting rid of emotions, somehow controlling the mind. But actually it's … about stepping back, seeing the thought clearly, witnessing it coming and going.” -Andy Puddicombe
“All it takes is 10 mindful minutes”
Andy engages the audience by
asking how many of the people in
the crowd can remember the last
time they spent 10 minutes to do
absolutely nothing. This includes
texting, emails, phone, t.v, worryin
g etc. He explains how that is the
very factor that leads to peoples
stress.
Andy did a great Job capturing my my attention in the beginning by his professional approach and just the way he led me to believe he was a wise man. His voice was very positive and vibrant.
Andy also did some pretty
talented juggling. He used the
balls to show the different ways
your brain could be doing
redundant things. In my
opinion, it was a very effective
way to capture my attention.
Andy is calm, positive and to the point. He knows how to capture the attention of the audience and used life experiences and personal happenings to verify what he's speaking of.
These are traits that I think will benefit anyone serious about their life and want to conduct themselves in an engaging yet informative way
Andy’s Juggling was both exciting and played a great role in his symbolism of the mind working. I think that was a great way to capture the attention of the listeners.
5/5 Grading on Dynamism
This is a great example of someone living in the now and enjoying life and nature
Although Andy Puddicombe
had a great presentation and is
an awesome speaker, I feel that
Sir Ken Robinson caught my
attention with his humor and
jokes. He did not take it over
board leaving this presentation
professional and informative.
CompareI think it is very obvious
that both speakers had
very effective ways of
engaging and spreading
knowledge and ideas
Funny, serious, tells the story of others, much experience in life and credibility's.
