She is convinced that books bring out in children the three powers of intelligence, creativity and empathy. Excitement about the magic of reading was clearly in evidence on our Shared Reading morning when classes across the age groups paired up to read together and to share their favourite books. Fact and fiction, action, poetry and well-loved stories were all represented as the chil- dren visited new classrooms and met up with friends new and old! Shared Reading Children’s Laureate, Cressida Cowell, author and illustrator of the ‘How to Train

your Dragon’ books, is encouraging children across the country to read for the

joy of it. She is convinced that books bring out in children the three powers of

intelligence, creativity and empathy. Excitement about the magic of reading was

clearly in evidence on our Shared Reading morning when classes across the

age groups paired up to read together and to share their favourite books. Fact

and fiction, action, poetry and well-loved stories were all represented as the chil-

dren visited new classrooms and met up with friends new and old!

Recycling Wanted

Clean Plastic containers, shampoo bottles, shower gel containers, ketchup bottles, mouth wash containers…

for a recycling project next term. Please deliver to Mrs Law in the DT Room.

Care and Attention in Parents’ Car Park

Please take care to check your surroundings when reversing in and out of parking spaces in the car park. There is a

lot of activity in the car park and your full attention is needed. Thank you.

Visitors’ Parking Spaces

We politely ask that parents refrain from parking in the visitor parking spaces at the front of the school for drop off

and pick up. These spaces are needed through the day for visitors to the school. Thank you.

Christmas Jumper Sale - Friday 29 November at 3pm - 4:30pm

MAP will be collecting all sizes of Christmas Jumpers in order to hold a Christmas Jumper sale

on Friday 29 November in the Gershwin Music Room. Please can any jumpers to sell be

donated at the back of the Year 6 block (where old uniform was collected by Mrs Duff).

Jumpers should be washed and clean, ready to sell. Jumpers will be £2 (kids) and £3 (adults).
