Mansfield 2.0 Training - Day5 Feedback, 9/17/08: How was the pace of today's training?

5. What was your favorite part of the day?

# Response

1The ideas from the mentors--also figuring out our team project. I'm glad we have a plan.

2the video conference, with the cover it live box........COOL!

3 exploration of new ideas/sites

4The video conferencing was sooo interesting, yet slightly, no, very intimidating considering the scope of the topics covered!

5Looking at the links and talking with other people who are doing the same types of things.

6 Team planning time

7I enjoyed the time being able to plan and discuss how the project is going.

1 Time--hard to have lots of energy at 8:00 p.m.

2 It was all good

3It was a bit overwhelming to digest everything since we are JUST getting started. Some of it was over my head and it was hard to see practical uses for kids in gr.4.

4Warm up activity. I couldn't plan what I wanted or needed to do until I had spoken to my team.

5 Breaking my tooth

6. What was your least favorite part of the day?

Mansfield 2.0 Training - Day5 Feedback, 9/17/08: Which Web 2.0 tool do you think you will use most frequently with your students this fall?

Mansfield 2.0 Training - Day5 Feedback, 9/17/08: What support will you need to implement your favorite Web 2.0 tool? Please check all that apply.

1 and even more time to practice

2 A LOT to digest and no time to practice!!!

3 We're up and running.

8. What support will you need to implement your favorite Web 2.0 tool? Please check all that apply.

# Other (please specify)

9. If you could change one thing about today, what would it be?

# Response

1 Timing (see above)

2 Too bad we couldn't have started earlier.

3Would've liked more team time to develop wikis and talk with team members

4 More time for our team to plan activities and set up accounts.

5 Not having Open House the next night

10. What do you think the trainers can do to improve future training sessions?

# Response

1

Since it'll be a while before we meet again, reminders or something that will give me "pokes" to play with this. I think I may get caught up with daily responsibilities and not make time for all this. For example, an email to mansfield 20 people that "we figured out glogster..." etc.

2 Keep on doing it.

3 Offer more time to focus on specific projects

4 Will need some timeline reminders to help me stay on task. . .

5I know your job is to expose us to lots of new things, but could you embed time to help with problems or management tasks into the training sessions?

6 Time to explore the materials brought up on the video conference

11. What questions are rumbling around in your head? What other comments would you like to give us that will help us?

# Response

1 Overwhelmed but had fun today...

2 Thanks!

3 How will I fit all of this together to help my students?

4Ahhh!!! TONS!!! How does the Glog work? How can I teleconference meaningfully with the assured experience in mind? How can I make my wiki more kid friendly???

5 What else do you guys do for fun?

6Can our computers handle all the new technology? Can I actually have voice talk work on the computers in my room?
