Introduction
The card reader, also known as the flash memory drive, is an
internal USB 2.0 11-in-1 drive which can be used for readingand writing to memory cards of different types. It supports the
most common flash memories, including CompactFlash card
(type I and II), IBM Microdrive, SmartMedia card (3.3 V),
SecureDigital card, MultiMedia card and Memory Stick.

Driver installation
Windows XP does not require a driver for this product. It usesthe driver integrated in Windows.

Information on handling memory cards
Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro and SD cards areinserted into the appropriate memory slot with the
contacts facing downwards. Smart Media cards and xD cards are inserted into the
SM or xD slot with the contacts facing upwards.
With CompactFlash and Microdrive, please note thatthese should be inserted in the corresponding slot withthe contacts facing forwards and the type labelupwards.
Please note that MemoryStick Duo, MemoryStickPro Duo as well as RS-MMC and Mini-SD may only
be used with special adapters in the appropriateslot.Do not insert these cards directly into a slot asthey will fall into the card reader. This may result indamage to the reader and the memory card. Therequired adapters are not supplied with the cardreader. They are often included with the purchase ofsuch memory cards.
Caution! If the ACCESS LED is flashed, please do notremove a memory medium as data loss may
occur and the memory medium may beirreversibly damaged.
Do not use force, for the memory media canbe easily inserted in and also removed fromthe intended slot.
