I. BASIC OPERATION

1. P2 MODE

This programming mode is used for important function level. Therefore don’t change in user side.

<P2> MODE : SPECIAL PROGRAMMING MODE

3. MENU SELECTION KEY

In P1 and P2 mode, following six keys are used frequently.

Used for scrolling up menu items.

Used for scrolling down menu items.

Used for selecting each menu. Used for data setting. (Same as ENTER key on PC)

Used for returning to main menu and exit.

Used for returning one step.

Used for correcting wrong input data.

4. LCD OPERATOR DISPLAY

Operator display has frame of four lines and one line can indicate 20 characters. When control lock position is located in LOCK position, LCD back light is turned off.

THE CONTROL LOCK KEY SHOULD BE TURNED TO 'P2' POSITION. TURNING TO 'P2' POSITION IS AVAILABLE ONLY BY SPECIAL P2 KEY.

1. FIRST PROGRAMMING

(1) RAM CLEAR

OPERATION SEQUENCE

Select "RAM CLEAR OPERATION" in P2 mode main menu and press [CASH] key. If you select "TOTAL CLEAR w/o GT", press [CASH] key to clear totalizer. If you select "TOTAL CLEAR with GT", press [CASH] key to clear totalizer and X1,X2,Z1,Z2 report counter ,receipt counter and GRAND TOTAL. If you select "ALL RAM CLEAR", press [CASH] key. All RAM data with programming will be cleared. Then default programming data will be programmed automatically.

Note: To exit operation, press [TOTAL] key.

(2) DATE

OPERATION SEQUENCE

Select "DATE PROGRAMMING" in P2 mode main menu and press [CASH] key. Current DATE is displayed and you can enter new DATE (MM/DD/YY).

Note: To exit operation, press [TOTAL] key.

(3) TIME

OPERATION SEQUENCE

Select "TIME PROGRAMMING" in P2 mode main menu. Current TIME is displayed and you can enter new TIME.

Note: Time enter by 24 hour. If enter 6 digits, HH,MM,SS If enter 4 digits, HH,MM To exit operation, press [TOTAL] key.

(4) HEADER MESSAGE

OPERATION SEQUENCE

Select "HEADER MESSAGE" in P2 mode main menu and press [CASH] key. If you select "PRESET PRINT LINE", press [CASH] key and enter number of LOGO lines required (1-8 lines). If you select "PRESET HEADER LINE, press [CASH] key and enter new message (MAX 24 characters).

● To exit operation, press [TOTAL] key.

(5) TAX RATE *** This programming is at 'P1' position ***

Select "TAX RATE PROGRAMMING" in P1 mode main menu and press [CASH] key.

● If you choose "PRESET TAX RATE", press [CASH] key.

Enter percent rate for tax 1 and press [CASH] key.Note: TAX rate is 4 digits. (00.00% - 99.99%)

To exit operation, press [TOTAL] key.

(6) SET FISCAL MACHINE OPERATION SEQUENCE This operation needs hardware operation. This programming can be done when the totalizer is all zero only. After this programming, the register goes to the FISCAL MACHINE. This programming is effective only once and it is impossible to go back to NON-FISCAL MACHINE again.

Select "SET FISCAL MACHINE" in P2 mode main menu and press [CASH] key. Enter registration ID (10 digits), press [CASH] key. Enter taxpayer code (11 digits), press [CASH] key. Enter password, press [VOID] key. Push [TOTAL] key, finished.

Note: 1 character is 2 digits key code. (SEE "ALPHA KEY CODE TABLE" )

5. CHANGING TRANSACTION DESCRIPTOR

Enter transaction descriptor table number(1-250) and press [CASH] key.

Current descriptor is indicated in 2nd line. Press [VOID] key to erase last character.

Enter new descriptor( 1-200 is 8 characters, 201-250 is 24 characters) refer to the alpha key code table ( 1character is 2 digits) and press [CASH] key.

7. BILL PRINTER FORMAT

OPERATION SEQUENCE

In this section, you can program some parameter for the BILL printer.The ECR supports two kinds of printer for bill(check) printing. One is a slip printer (EPSON TM295) for a designated form and the other is one-station terminal printer(EPSON TM300 series) for rolled paper.

Select "BILL PRINTER FORMAT" in P2 mode main menu and press [CASH] key.● If you select "PRESET FEED LINE ", press [CASH] key to entry programming mode.

The number, which is entered, has different means according to the kind of the printer.

It’s number of line feed before printing to the slip printer.And it’s number of line feed after printing to the type of one-station printer.

Enter number of line feed and press [CASH] key. ●If you select "PRESET PRINT LINE ", press [CASH] key to entry programming mode.

The number, which is entered, is only for the slip printer and has no meaning for thetype of one-station printer.

Enter number of maximum printing line and press [CASH] key.●If you select "SLIP HEADER LINE n", press [CASH] key to entry slip header programming

mode.

The header messages affect to the both type of printers. If you select "PRESET REPORT ", press [CASH] key for a program scan.

To exit operation press [TOTAL] key.

8. PROGRAM VERSION DISPLAY

Select "VERSION No. DISPLAY" in P2 mode main menu and press [CASH] key.

Current ROM version indicated on the last line. Press [CLR] key to exit.

9. RAM COPY (IRC)

Select "IRC RAM COPY" in P2 mode main menu and press [CASH] key. And enter slave number and press [CASH] key. If want to select all ECR, press [CASH] key without any number.

Press [TOTAL] key to exit.

The Master ECR will copy all preset data to the selected Slave ECR exceptDATE, TIME, CONSECUTIVE No., MACHINE No., PASSWORD, LOGO STAMP MESSAGE, detail slip format and Serial Port Programming. This operation does not affect to sales report data except PLU sales.

The PLU sales data and detail slip preset data are cleared after this operation.

10. SYSTEM TEST

Select "SYATEM TEST" in P2 mode main menu. And enter test port number and [CASH] key.

Note: 1 : SERIAL COMMUNICATION TEST (RS-232C) : Port#1 2 : SERIAL COMMUNICATION TEST (RS-485) : Port#2

3 : SERIAL COMMUNICATION TEST (RS-232C) : Port#3 4 : SERIAL COMMUNICATION TEST (RS-232C) : Port#4

11. SYSTEM RESET

The system reset operation should be done after changing program E-PROM or repairing.

Note: All programming and report data will not be cleared.

Note: The Key Layout and the ALPHA Key Layout will be programmed for the default value. The Shift Table of Direct PLU and Direct DEPARTMENT Key will be cleared. The other preset data and the report data will be kept.

2. PLU PROGRAMMING

Operation sequence is similar to DEPARTMENT programming.Before starting, please check the value of option flag 3 and 4. If you want to change basic format of PLU database, please change th ese option flag s value first.

The machine supports 4 kinds of PLU category type.

Kind of PLUs Explanation 1 Normal PLU It’s used as general item.

You can use 13 digits for PLU code.It can link condiment PLUs

2 Condiment PLU It’s used with a normal PLU as condiment item.Therefore, it can't be used individually. The maximum digits of the PLU code are six digits.

4 Main PLU for SET-MENU

It can't be used separately under the condition which Sub PLU is not at all in because of it has noindividual information without name and PLU code. The maximum digits of the PLU code are six digits.

The Common Stock file exists in the independence. And all PLUs can link to five kind ofstock file instead of doing not have individual simple stock data.

The number of PLU code, which is linked to a stock file, should be less than 6 digits. Select "STOCK FILE PROGRAM " in P1 mode main menu and press [CASH] key.

● If you select "PRESET REPORT ", press [CASH] key for a program scan.

● If you select "CORRECTION, CREATE ", press [CASH] key.

Enter stock number (MAX 4 digits) and press [CASH] key.

Current name is indicated 2nd line. Press [VOID] key to erase last character.

16. DIRECT DEPT KEY WITH SHIFT PROGRAMMING (MAX. 40 KEYS)

First of all, you must program some DIRECT DEPT KEYS WITH SHIFT on the Keyboard.See CHANGING KEY LAYOUT.

DIRECT DEPT KEY will shift by pressing the DEPT SHIFT KEY.

Select "DIRECT DEPT KEY TABLE" in P1 mode main menu and press [CASH] key. ● If you select "PRESET DIRECT TABLE", press [CASH] key.

Enter start table number (1-40) and press [CASH] key.

Press direct DEPT key.

Note: If want to cancel table data, then enter '0' and [CASH] key.

● If you select "PRESET KEY ASSIGN ", then PLU code is assigned to each table. Select "SHIFT OFF MODE" or "SHIFT ON MODE"

Enter start table number and press [CASH] key.

Enter department number and press [CASH] key. Table number is incremented automatically. If you want to decrement table number, press [SUBTOAL] key.

Enter foreign currency number (1-5) and press [CASH] key.

Enter foreign currency rate (without decimal point) and press [CASH] key.

Note: Rate is 3digits(integer) + 6digits(decimal).

Foreign currency rate calculate as follow, Your country currency multiple FC rates. If used EURO period function, then foreign currency 1 has special meaning. FC1 rate need entry 1EURO = local currency. In case EURO 1st period, Country currency division FC1 rate. In case EURO 2nd and 3rd period, EURO currency multiple FC1 rate.

23. EURO PERIOD PRESET

Select "EURO PERIOD PRESET" in P1 mode main menu and press [CASH] key. ● If you select "PRESET EURO PERIOD", press [CASH] key. Enter new EURO period number.

● If you select "PRESET REPORT ", press [CASH] key for a program scan.

● To exit operation, press [TOTAL] key.

Note: If sales data is not ZERO, changing EURO period is prohibited. If EURO period change 1st period to 2nd, then department and PLU preset amount automatically change EURO currency (follow FC1 rate). And decimal point is change to FC1 decimal. If EURO period change 2nd period to 1st, then department and PLU preset amount change to local currency automatically. (follow FC1 rate) And decimal point is changed to FC1 decimal. If EURO 3rd period, then print and display EURO currency mark.

24. REPORT CHAIN

Select "CHAIN REPORT PROG." in P1 mode main menu and press [CASH] key. Select report level from X1 to Z2. Select chain report items. When finished, SCROLL to top and select “ END OF SELECTION”.

Note: If you want to cancel the REPORT CHAIN, you must select the "END OF SELECTION" key at first. You can not program Z1 REPORT CHAIN with FULL DEPT SALES and ALL CASHIERS SALES.

● To exit operation, press [TOTAL] key.

25. MACRO KEY

Select "MACRO KEY FUNCTION" in P1 mode main menu and press [CASH] key. ● If you select "PRESET MACRO KEY", press [CASH] key.

29. MASTER/SLAVE TABLE (IRC)

When using I.R.C function, following item must be programmed correctly.

1) Machine ID programming

Turn the mode lock to the P1 position.

Then select Machine No. programming and press [CASH] key.

Input machine number(1-99) and press [CASH] key.Each machine must be programmed different number. Don’t set same number.Maximum 9 machines (1 Master and 8 Slave) can be programmed in one system.

2) Master Slave Table programming.

Turn the mode lock to the P1 position. Then select MASTER SLAVE PROG.

Enter [CASH] key.

Input machine ID number and press [CASH] key.

Select machine type SLAVE or MASTER and press [CASH] key. The machine type must be programmed to not only itself but also all ECR that is connected in

the network. Therefore all ECR must have same table data.

(3) PROGRAMMING with Inter-Register Communication

If you program following items at the Master ECR, the Master ECR will copy the programmed data to all Slave ECRs. If the Master ECR can not communicate to a Slave ECR, when you pressed Q/F key for programming No. input, your input will be of no effect. After the Master ECR has copied to all Slave ECRs, if it is O.K. then the receipt will show '*** M/S COPIED ***', if it is N.G. then the receipt will show '* M/S COPY ERROR *'.
