1.Plugthekeyboard’sUSBconnectorintoanavailableUSBportonyourPC. 2.Theoperatingsystemwillautomaticallyrecognizethekeyboardandinstallallneededdrivers. 3.Ifyourkeyboardisnotrecognized,disconnectitandtryanotherUSBportonyourPC.

7. Installing the software

1.Beforeinstallingtheincludedsoftware,removeallotherinstalledkeyboardsoftwarefromyoursystem. 2.PuttheincludedToolsCDintoyourCD/DVDdrive. 3.OpentheCD/DVDdrive’sfolder(e.g.D:). 4.Openthefolder“SHARKOONSkiller“. 5.Start“Skiller.exe“andfollowtheinstructionsoftheinstallationwizard. 6.Aftercompletingtheinstallationprocessthefollowingiconwillappearonyourdesktopandinthetaskbar:

7.Doubleclick(leftmousebutton)thisicon,tostarttheprogram.

8. The configurator

8.1 Starting the configurator

Starttheapplicationbydouble-clickingtheactualicononyourdesktoporviatherespectivesymbolinthe taskbar.

8.2 Main window

A – TheSkillerprovidesthreedifferentlayersperkey(see8.4). B – Everysinglekeyonthekeyboardcanbeindividuallyprogrammed(see8.3). C – Viathisbuttonthecurrentlayercanberesettofactorydefault. D – Profiles:TheSkillercanbeassigneduptotendifferentprofiles.Witheverydifferentprogram/ applicationanindividualkeyboardlayoutcanbeconfigured(see8.5). E – Invokesthe“Advanced”menu(see8.6). F – “OK”transfersthesettingstothekeyboardandclosesthewindow;“Cancel”discardsthesettings; “Apply”transfersthesettingstothekeyboard,andleavesthewindowopen.

8.3 Programming the keys

Everysinglekeyofthekeyboardcanbeprogrammedindividually,pleaseproceedasfollows: 1.Selectthekeyyouwishtoprogrambyleft-clickingitintheconfiguratorwiththemouse.Thefollowing dropdownmenuwillopenup:

A – Assignsthekeyasanotherkey(8.3.1).B – Assignsthekeyamacro(see8.3.2).C – Assignsthekeyamousefunction(8.3.3).D – AssignsthekeyanInternetfunction(8.3.4).E – AssignsthekeyanOfficefunction(8.3.5).F – AssignsthekeyaMediafunction(8.3.6).G– Assignsthekeyadditionalcommands(8.3.7).H – Definesthekeyasswitchbetweendifferentprofiles(8.3.8).I – Runsaprogram(8.3.9).J – Discards already assigned functions.K – Deactivates the key.

2.Selectthedesiredfunction. 3.Thefunctionwillbeassignedtoakey. 4.Theprogrammedkeywillbehighlightedinwhite:

8.3.1 Button assignment

Eachkeycanbeassignedanyotherkeyfunctionusingtheconfigurator: 1.Select“Singlekey”fromthedropdownmenu(see8.3).Thefollowingwindowwillappear:

2.Pressthekey,whichwillthenbeassignedtotheselectedkey. 3.Click“OK”toconfirmyourselectionor“Cancel”todiscardit.

8.3.8 Profile switch

Eachkeycanbedefinedasswitchbetweenthesingleprofiles: 1.Select“ProfileSwitch”fromthedropdownmenu(see8.3).Thefollowingwindowwillappear:

2.Selectthedesiredprofileandlayer,whichwillbeactivatedafterpressingthekey,usingthearrow buttons.Clickinsidethecheckboxinfrontof“OnScreenDisplay(OSD)”,theOSDwillbedisplayedon the screen. 3.Click“OK”toconfirmyourselectionor“Cancel”todiscardit.

8.3.9 Additional functions

Eachkeycanbedefinedasswitchbetweenthesingleprofiles: 1.Select“ProfileSwitch”fromthedropdownmenu(see8.3).Thefollowingwindowwillappear:

2.Entertheprogramnameunder“ShortcutName”. 3.“Browse”toselectthedesired,installedprogram. 4.Click“OK”toconfirmyourselectionor“Cancel”todiscardit.

8.4 The layers

Eachkeycanbeassignedthreelayers. Theselayersareindependentfromeachother,sothatdifferentfunctionscanbedefinedforeachlayer.

8.5 The profiles

Thekeyboardsupportsuptotendifferentprofiles.Thusfordifferentprograms/applicationsdifferentkey functionscanbedefinedandsavedasprofile.

8.6 The “Advanced“ menu

Viathe“Advanced”menufurtherfunctionscanbeconfigured.

A – Selectionofthekeycombination,whichisusedtotogglethroughthemediaplayerslistedunderB. B – Listofmediaprograms,theconfiguratorsupports(WindowsMediaPlayer,iTunes,RealPlayer, Winamp). C – Software update.
