TICKET

Types of Tickets

Ticket Validity

Either the document entitled “Passenger Ticket and BaggageCheck” . It´s a contract of carriage between an airline and apassenger.

Ticket conjunction .- A ticket issued to a passenger concurrently with another ticket (s) which together constitute asingle contract of carriage.i.e.

Manual Ticket.- All ticket is filled manually, airlines almost never used it.Automated Ticket .- Issued through special ticket printElectronic Ticket.- A kind of ticket which remains in the airlinedata basis.

Means share equipment and/or carrier codes, the participatingairlines are able to offer to the potential customer a broader network of flights from which to choose.

In Sabre you can identify the Code Share Flight, because atAvailabilityDisplay shows an asterisk before flight number .

BOOKING Equivalent to the term “Reservation”. The allotment in advanceof seating accommodation for a passenger or a space on anaircraft.

Airlines established a special program to reward the passengerswho travelwith an specific airline.

It allows members to redeem accrued mileage in exchange for benefits as Upgrades, free tickets, etc.

PNR(Passenger Name Récord)

A Passenger Name Record, consists in five mandatory fields tocreate apassenger reservation.These five fields are:

3) Contact (phone)

4) Recived from

Itinerary Equivalent to term “journey” and consists of the entire routingincluded on a ticket. The journey includes the following points:Origin, destination, and intermediate points (transfers or stopovers)

Origin

Destination

The initial starting place of the journey as shown on the ticket.

The ultimate stopping place of the journey as shown on theticket.

stopover A point where passenger breaks his journey and is scheduledto depart time later than 24 hours after arrival (local time). Astopover is arranged in advance and specified on passenger ticket.

TransfersConnection

A change of service, carrier, aircraft or flight number within 24hours after arrival and departs. Sometimes called connection.Sabre has a special procedure to by this part of itinerary andyou must be very carefully with this.

No Show A passenger who fails to use reserved accommodation for other reasons than missed connection. In some times there isa fee for NS.

Waitlist segment An unconfirmed segment for specific flights for which seating
