-

The vehicle's unique code is essential (The code is marked on the sticker suppliedwith the vehicle). This code can be obtained from the vehicle VIN using the Peugeot scooters.

Only a blank Smart-Key key, which has never been programmed or matched to an ECU can beprogrammed as an additional key. Insert the battery only when it is ready to be programmed (see page 4).

It is essential to update the TEP2010 diagnostic tool before any operations are carried out on thevehicle. The Smart-Key ECU must have the latest update. The injection ECU must have the latest update.

1 - PROGRAMMING SMART-KEY KEYS:

This procedure is used for:

• Adding a Smart-Key key. • Deprogramming a Smart-Key key programmed in the system (if a key malfunctions or in case of loss

or theft).

During the Smart-Key ECU programming procedure, the Smart-Key key or keys to be programmed must bekept more than 2 me tres away from the vehicle toavoid being detected by the ECU. Make sure that there are no other Smart-Key keys orvehicles in the area.

Up to 4 Smart-Key keys can be registered in the system. All the keys which will be used on the vehicle, both old and new, must be programmed during thesame programming procedure. Only the key or keys programmed during the last programming session will b e usable on thevehicle.

The order in which the keys are programmed has no importance.

- Open the saddle. - Remove the battery cover. (3 screw)- Disconnect the vehicle's 2 white and black

diagnostic plugs.

disassembly.

Start the engine with each of the keys to check their programming.

Possible causes of a key not being recognised during programming: - Key too far away from the vehicle. - Faulty electricity supply to the key:

- Check that the battery is the right way round. - Check the electrical contacts between the battery and the printed circuit.

- Smart-Key ECU and/or injection not updated: Verify/update with the TEP2010.- Defective antenna or harness: Check the resistance of the antenna (R=1.2Ω) and the continuityof the harness. - Faulty key. - Key already matched to another vehicle. - Defective Smart-Key ECU: Change the ECU
