beds. This is a perfect item for adding a little sound to your outdoor oasis. These units include an

attached landscape lid, making it easier to disguise in the landscape.

• Basin Matrix is designed to replace up to 90% of the gravel traditionally used in the reser voir of Cascading Falls applications.

• Over 3 times more water storage capacity than gravel! The water matrix holds 7.4 gallons of water per cubic foot whereas gravel can only hold 2.2 gallons.

external pumps have 3” ports and a large capacity strainer

basket. Quick connect fittings included with each pump provide

The PondBuilder External Pump is the pump you need for your

How does it work?

A basin area is dug, lined, then filled with a

Pump Canyon and Matrix boxes. This area is

finished off with gravel. The Pump Canyon

holds the pump which sends the water up to

the Cascade Box via flex pipe. The water flows

out of the Cascade Box, down the streambed,

and back into the gravel basin where the

process begins over again.

Water Gardens

Maintenance Maintaining a water garden is simple and will take only 15 minutes a week. The net and mat located inside the skimmer will need to be cleaned about once every 10 to 14 days. This should only take 5 minutes to complete. Besides regular skimmer maintenance, beneficial bacteria will be added to the pond weekly.

safetyWe recommend that most water gardens be a minimum of 24” deep but a depth of 30” is even better since it will provide more area for the fish to winterize in the pond and provide a deeper area for the fish to retreat to in the event a predatory bird comes to your pond. The first ledge of the pond, however, is typically only 8” to 12” in depth therefore providing a shallow area around the ponds perimeter.
