Quesnel & District Minor Hockey Association hosting Midget Hockey Provincial Championships
March 17 – 22, 2018
I would like to welcome you to our community for the 2018 Provincial Midget Hockey Championships. Come on out and enjoy the action packed games in our fantastic new arena, the West Fraser Centre. Situated on the confluence of the Fraser and Quesnel rivers and surrounded by forests and lakes, residents of Quesnel know and appreciate the multiple benefits we derive from our natural surroundings. Our core economy is founded on nature’s bounty; our artisans and writers use it for inspiration and residents and visitors alike have limitless opportunities. If you are visiting, take some time to explore our diverse parks and trails, our local museum, our downhill or cross country skiing venues, and our fantastic local shops! Before you leave, make sure to stroll across Quesnel’s historic Fraser River footbridge, the longest wood truss walking bridge in the world! On behalf of Quesnel City Council, I wish the players the best of luck and, I thank the dedicated volunteers and sponsors who support these teenagers’ dreams. Good luck to all of the teams! Sincerely,
Mayor Bob Simpson City of Quesnel
