The Rosary Join us in Praying the Rosary on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

After the 8:30 AM Mass.

until 10:00 am Come to pray before the Lord,

Pastor’s Column

Today we celebrate the great Feast of Easter. The empty tomb is evidence

and over a period of 2000 years no remains of Jesus have ever been

found. The Resurrection is the cornerstone of our faith. Without, the

Resurrection we would be like any other religion in the world. It is the

resurrection that gives us the life line of our religion. The life line of grace

comes from the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We, of Jesus

Christ are given the gift of grace as followers through our baptism. That is

why we bless water and renew our baptismal promises on Easter.

Baptism is the sacrament of initiation into the church and without it we

cannot receive any of the other sacraments. In the rite of baptism, we are

anointed priest, prophet, and king just as Jesus was.

Because, we are brothers and sisters of Christ through baptism we share

in the life of the church and receive grace through the sacraments, and

our prayers and good works. Resurrection promises us life eternal, life to

be spent in the presence of the Lord if we lead a good life. We lead that

life by attending mass and practicing the commandments and practicing

the spiritual and corporal works of mercy.

So let us be people of resurrection by proclaiming our faith in the practice

of our faith!

A Blessed Easter to all!

God Bless, Fr. Rich
